Have you all seen this Twist Out video?

I am curious about this product. She uses it in the blow drying video too. The companies website says that it is for people with fine hair so I don't know if it would even work for me but it looks like a great product?

Has anyone used this, a product like this, or one that did something similar? Please share.

Naturals who are interested in heat training should definitely check out her videos.

Thanks for posting the vid. I watched her a while ago and couldn't remember her name or anything. I think I feel better attempting a 2 strand twist after that vid.

Sorry I don't know anything about the products she was using. I wonder if the heat protectant is like CHI which I have used before but its been awhile.

I bought the Nioxin Bliss because of her video. I use it everytime that I apply any type of heat to my hair. It is FANTASTIC!

I did not realize that it was for fine hair as my hair is anything but fine :ohwell:

I totally agree. I purchased the thermal bliss b/c of her videos. It's an excellent product. When I blow dry, my hair turns out silky and straight. The flat iron really doesn't have to do much work after that. It's also a great detangler. I'm due for a relaxer, but the thermal bliss detangles my hair like nobody's business. You should definitely give it a try :yep:.

Like previous posters said; I bought NTB because of her videos...so far, so good. I've used plenty of it already, and it seems like it'll last a long time...I use if before using heat and its a great detangler and protectant. I'm very happy with it. :yep:

I've used the Nioxin Bliss and I've used CHI Iron Guard. I really like the Bliss so far:yep:. It didn't weigh my hair down. I have to say I found the CHI to be sticky and I don't like the way it made my hair feel :nono: so I don't think I'll be using it again. Next in my arsenal is the FHI Hot Sauce.

I brought the Nioxin because of her! I only used it once when I was relaxed, to blow dry and my hair was very soft and smooth. :yep:

Your hair is beautiful. I am more convinced by you ladies than I am by the videos! Great heads of hair!

Ive been trying to set a appointment with her....i believe she is natural and she isnt far from me...

I loved this twist out just beautiful and it came out just right not frizzy at all...

Edited::: Well i didnt get to the appointment because she cancelled on me :( WOW i was totally shocked and she left a message stating that she was going out of town and that was it and about putting me with another stylist at her salon(uh no thank you i think not especially when ive never seen that stylist work before). And it took a minute for me to try to get appointment with her. I had booked appointments with her for the future even to get my makeup done and a updo for a friends wedding that im going to be in, but after that no thank u. I'll just follow her YT videos and stay going to Salon Balisi. That was in my book not good...

Why? Is her hair heat trained?

Doesn't look that way to me.

I was looking for a video where she shows her natural texture but the closest thing is her blowdrying video where part of her hair hasn't been done yet. I didn't see any kinks or coils. I have seen some type 2 ladies of color but the waves I do see on her look inconsistent like it has been altered some way. I could be wrong but I definitely get the impression that she uses heat very often and she is always saying she is a straight kinda of girl so I assume she is probably straight 90% so isn't concerning with maintaining her curls.

I could definitely be wrong.

She shows her natural hair, unstraightened, on the video where she does the yellow and green eye makeup. Check it out.

Your twistout looks great! What products did you use? Did you sit under a dryer or airdry?

Thank you. I co-washed with Redken All Soft, then applied Rusk Smoother leave-in, then applied CHI Silk Infusion and I sprayed each section with water to keep it wet. I sat under the dryer for an hour and slept in the twist overnight and unraveled in the morning.

I used her YT tutorial to do my twistout.

Me too.. I could not cornrow or flat twist to save my life... I watched her flat twist video like ten tmes and finally got it. Her hair is b e a u t i f u l. And so is she.. she looks like somebody in my family.. she has a very familiar face. I would love for her to be my hair stylist.. she is a great stylist!

Have you tried the Alterna products she recommends? The Alterna Hemp Organic Straight Poo & Co. I've purchased but haven't used it yet. Its in her Shampoo Regimen video.

I love her videos!

Can someone answer a question about the NTB? I am thinking of purchasing some and using it when I blow dry and flat iron again. For those of you that have used it, does it leave any kind of sticky film on your hair? (that you feel when you are flat ironing) I have used some leave in sprays and by the time you have finished blow drying and are flat ironing, your hands are all sticky from the film.

It seems like a great product but that's my only reservation about it.

Thanks in advance!

BlackBarbie,

I use NTB and I don't get a sticky film. I know what you mean though, I've gotten that when using CHI Iron Guard.
