Finger coils: Post your pictures!

First two are the coil out. By coil out, I just mean I divided my coils in two. When I pulled a coil apart, it separated perfectly neatly into two individual coils!

I don't really need anything to keep my hair coiled, but I think I used aloe vera gel because I thought I should use something.

so are you all literally using your fingers to do these coils? No combs? I guess that would be comb coils? Can we get a bit more detail on technique, cause the results on all these pics shared are gorgeous!

Yes fingers only. How you section it depends on how small your curls are but take a section, apply whatever, & detangle. Twist clockwise or counterclockwise from root....all the way down to the tip. Thats one way of twisting. Thats the best way I know how to explain it. HTH

Pics of the finished 'do. It looks just like a straw set. I've never really been a fan of strawsets on myself, so I pulled it into a puff.

Your hair looks gorgeous! Did you separate the coils or styled them 'as is' after coiling?

I just tried them for the first time today! As you can see, my bang section, I had to help out with a few straws. Other places in my hair would pop out mid coil as well, the root and the ends would still hold. Weird, but it's pretty annoying. I'm still waiting for these to airdry so that I can do a coil out.

Oh and I used BBD Glass (an old product of mine I just recently started using again) and coconut oil.

I think you can. Mine is about the same length (just bc'ed Tuesday) and I did a few and they stayed. Now I just have to figure out how big to make the parts lol

I LOVES me sum coils! I've done it on my friend and my mom so far...I prefer to do it with a comb because that helps it form a more uniform look
