They really look lovely on you! Congrats on taking that plunge, and I'm sure you're going to love them!

They look great. And your hair is so long. I think they look fine now, but as you said from other sisterlock installs I've seen, they do tend to get thicker.

Fabulous! So tell me, how long did it take you to decide to take the plunge? Did you consider other options before deciding on Sisterlocks? I guess I mean going through the longer process of locing with twists instead of Sisterlocks. I love them, and I have considered Sisterlocks for myself many times. Yours look so good, I can't wait to see the whole shebang!

WOW, I am soo glad I decided to share this (and re-up my sub. at LHCF - 'cause I almost didn't; especially with deciding to lock) with you all.

I thoroughly appreciate the consideration and neighborliness of you all. It has made my day. Going through some stuff yaw'll (ahhh ya ya, self imposed, but difficult nonetheless). Stopping in here makes my life just a little bit lighter.

Thank you.

Namaste,

LL

Umm, how can I answer this? Well, I have had SL before. I went all the way to Detroit, on a bus, to Everette's to get them. One week later while hanging out in ATL, I took 'em out! Couldn't stand 'em. :drunk: That was umm maybe like 2000 or so. So, SL aren't new to me.

I then attempted twice to lock traditionally (which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the look) by twisting, single strand. First time I put anything in my hair that some fool would say would lock it up from honey to probably dirt if I would have read it; oh yeah and beeswax . . . ay yi yi. Well, after 8 months nada. I can not will not NOT wash my hair. Shoot, cleanliness is next to godliness. So I would wash, retwist, wash, retwist, wash, retwist, wash . . . you get the drift.

Moving forward . . . .

Always lovin locks (as you can see from my moniker) . . . they've always been on my mind. I fiend them on other folks when visiting places.

I'm going through a metamorphosis AND this is my jubilee year so I decided . . . I'm gettin' Sisterlocked up!

Why thank you, kind ma'am.

I can't wait to see the whole shebang!

Me too:trampolin; me too! :woot:

Congrats!! I was beginning to think that they weren't any loc'ed sisters up in here! I even started a thread asking loc'ed sisters to answer, but got no answer (probably because I put it in the wrong thread :look:) They will thicken up and look wonderful!
I started mine with 2ST two months ago and they are just starting to get thicker.
ETA: Have you decided how you are going to maintain them? By yourself or with a loctician? Twisting or latching? I fell in love with latching because my roots never unravel no matter how many times I rinse or wash my hair!

Your hair looks great. I am surprised that she installed your locks with your hair being so long.
At a salon near my house, they want you to cut your hair down to 3" or they charge something like and extra $100 per inch on top of the initial install fee there after.

Whoaa!!! Wouldn't have gotten 'em there. This girl [me] was only working part-time; couldn't afford that x what 16" inches or so . . . YIKES!!!

Hello Sis,

Well, to start I will go to my Consultant. Maybe for around six months like suggested. I want to learn the retightening technique because my daughter says she is going to sport them. If she does then that may be bonding time for us.

Thanks for looking.

JK, my thoughts exactly. Don't be surprised if next year yaw'll see me up and pop in with a bald fade. Watch what I tell you . . . :lachen:
