I dont know if mega tek works for me

Ive been using Megatek for 3 months almost 4 but i am not seeing much of a difference. i know some people said thickness comes before the lenght but at what point does the lenght comes.
Im waiting for this lenght and it is nowhere in site i do not see a difference in growth simply because my hair is growing at the same rate as it did before.
Is megatek still working for some people

Shoot, length came first for me. I am still using MegaTek and I can't wait to see what I have retained after this latest set of braids. I've been using it now for 6 months straight.

Honestly, the effectiveness of the product depends on one's usage and their hair. If you are diluting it or using it just every other day, then I wouldn't expect you to have any success. I use it straight from the bottle like hair grease each night before I shower (the steam from the shower helps ensure my pores open and help it condition my hair). Also, everyone's different. If I gave you a blind test and put water in one bottle and called it MegaTek, you might tell me 3 months later that it caused your hair to break off.

So, I'd give it 6 months and see what happens. But I do know that I am thoroughly convinced that this product works for me and I hate to post pics because I think it's juvenile, but I'll do it just for the heck of it. I can't wait to post an APL pic one day...

I've been using a pretty diluted mix of it (4 oz MT w/3 oz oil) every night and I've definitely seen the thickness already. I started noticing it even when I was using it every other night. How exactly are you using it, every night, every other night, night before cowash? IDK, but results may differ depending on how its used (I'm a new user myself, so I have no clue).

MT works best when you use it OFTEN 4-7 days a week.
MT works best when your hair is clean with NO cones or anything coating the hair.
MT works best undiluted with nothing added to it. But some do see results when adding oils to it.
MT works well when you message it into your scalp. For thickness rub some in your hair and moisturize.
If it's not working for you PM me and I will take it off your hands.

I am with you on the "MT works" bandwagon...but let me clarify first.

I only used it consistently for ONE MONTH! (on my scalp...)

In that month, I grew over an inch.

I also used Aloe Vera Gel on my scalp.

I also used it every other day with no inconsistency at all!!

Since then, I have not seen the same growth. I also have not used it consistently. I have also not applied it directly to my scalp like I did in that one month.

My personal opinion is that MT works when used on the scalp, used frequently and consistently, with garlic to help with shedding and with extreme moisture to combat breakage from dryness. It works exceptionally well with those provisions.

If you are only looking for thickness, use it as a DC for 5-30 minutes and then use a moisturizing DC for double the time you left MT in your hair.

But....you have to be diligent and consistent.

Don't slack at all in any area or you can almost NOT expect to see progress of any sort.

i only used EVOO to mix and lately i stop mixing and using straight from the bottle
Probably im not seeing anything because of shrinkage its been 15 weeks since last relaxer

The length will take some time after the thickness, I've heard. I haven't noticed much length either, but I only straighten 2x/year and my shrinkage is ridiculous, but I've definitely noticed the thickness. I know some people combine the MN and MT together with a little bit of oil; you may want to try that too. I'd venture a guess that you'll see a lot more growth once you relax your hair again. As melodies815 said, consistency really is key, but it looks like you've got that part down. I say take a good look at your hair post relaxer and see what your results look like then.

Shrinkage could be the major factor. I guess you won't truely know until you touch up your roots. I felt my hair wasn't growing either until I stretched and straightened my hair. How long have you been using it straight with no additives? Do you use is on your scalp or hair?

Or perhaps MT just doesn't work for you. If you are willing to stick it out you can increase the number of days a week you use it. Although 4-5 is good some ladies are using it 6-7 days a week. You might need extra stimulation, you can try some tea tree oil or peppermint oil after you apply MT to your scalp.

These products do not make your hair grow faster, but it will allow it to grow longer. What it does is strengthens the hair so there is less breakage and thinning. You will keep more of your hair on your head LONGER.

Both Mega-Tek and Ovation Cell Therapy help to improve the texture and smoothness of your hair. It has helped me tremendously. The proof is in the pictures.

I use the Ovation Maximizing System ONCE a week as a treatment and have been for over a year.

I do not massage it into my scalp every night or mix it with anything.

I use it according to the instructions and it works just fine!

I've only used mega tek consistently for two months and got great results. Keep using it consistently, take photos, and after your touch up be sure to compare photos to truly judge whether or not it is working for you.

When I First Started My Journey, I lost about 90% of my Hair due to weekly Salon Neglect of Overprocessing, Chemical Overlapping (both Relaxer and Color) and Poor Neutralization.erplexed

In fact, I had a Bare Spot on the Side of my Head about the size of a 50 cent piece (when I first started using MT) back in February of 2009. By the End of April 2009, You would have never known it was there. It had Totally & Completely Filled In.

I still use it (scalp only) on a Regular Basis, never on length. And I have been getting superb results. No Shedding at all. I make sure I keep my Moisture Levels Up, because I know it can dry your hair out.

But MT was a God-Send to me. It has helped strengthen my hair as well as helping overall with Growth.

Now On Wash Days, I rarely lose any hair, unless it's normal shedding. And I think back to all the Hair that would be in My Comb at the Salon(s)

Overall, MT has worked exceptionally well for the MAJOR Setback that I have Suffered. And it will always be part of my Product Rotation. Once I reach my Hair Goals and get my Hair back to "Healthy" I may even use it on the length as a Co-Wash Treatment.
