I tried this last night. It was soooo thick! It won't replace my Motions Moisture plus, but I liked it very much. I will try it with heat and it looks like this will be a part of the rotation!

I like this stuff too.

Crlsweetie...You gonna make me try this Motions Moisture Plus! I have been fighting the temptation but you gonna make me gone and break down. I just gotta know how my hair feel about this product now! lol

I must have bought a bad batch then, because all this time I've been using this one jar, I thought it was a protein treatment because it made my hair hard. And the smell is off, kind of.

Maybe I'm putting toom uch in or not rinsing it out enough? I don't know, but that sucker makes my hair almost brittle when I use it...must be something I'm doing wrong, or it was a bad batch

I get what you're saying. I bought some when I was shopping for another tub of LeKair cholesterol as that has dimethicone in it (not good :( ) and it made my hair a little hard too. No actually, it just didn't make it feel soft or moisturised. I put LOADS on, like I was digging for gold, and a cap too and left it on for like 2 hours. I'm gonna try again this weekend.

Any tips anyone???

Okay I tried it for the first time after a henna today, and I did not get any softness or slip, in fact I shed more hair than I normally do because of the tangle, but I thought it was because of my henna mix, now I'm thinking not! I shouldn't have tried the new conditioiner on the same day as a henna. The last time I used Motions and my hair came out like silk.... hmmm now I'm not sure which caused the problem but after being under the heat cap for 25 mins, I was surpised I had no slip.... hmmmmm....

i just purchased and used the drp-11 and it made my hair soft and moist. I clarified first though and I didn't sit under the dryer, just put a cap on and left it for about an hour or so........I like it and will buy it again

Try adding coconut oil or honey and olive oil to the DPR and then sit under a dryer for 15 min. Hopefully that will give give u better results.

I just bought this stuff today
bumping this old thread because
it does remind me of my beloved MISS KEY without
the shipping cost. I love it.
Oh... I'm just under the dryer with it
doing my steam towel wrap...
but I already know it's awesome...
I can feel it...

I didn't notice any change after using this DC. Just like all the others.
I really need to be able to tell what is working ya'll cus in my bood none of them are all that :wallbash:!!

Ok so it looks like Miss Key 10 en 1
Smells like Miss Key 10 en 1
Goes on like Miss Key 10 en 1
BUT IT AIN'T Miss Key 10 en 1
It left my hair dry and britle.
I'm putting this on my "Products I will Never Buy Again List"
and sticking to my Miss Key 10 en 1
thank GOSH I used the whole jar so
nothing went to waste... oh I typically use
a whole jar since I put on my DCs like a relaxer

The first time I tried it, it left my hair dried out. I doctored it up w/SAA & oil and it worked great. I won't purchase again though.

It works very well for my hair MOST of the time. I have to be careful when applying it because it's so thick, I get breakage unless my hair is soaking wet. It does not work for my daughter's hair though.

I hear you need to mix Olive Oil and honey in it to make it work. I can't find it here anymore and my BSS lady said it was discontinued....

I may have to try that Miss Keys now!! Sounds yummy :yep:

Is this a protein type conditioner?

[/ QUOTE ]

There's not protein.

The ingredients are: Chamomille, Nettle, Balm Mint Leaf Oil, Coltsfoot Extract, Horse Chestnut Extract, Sage Leaf Extract, Rosemary Extract, Petroleum, Cetyel Alcohol, Cetromonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Laurus Nobblis Oil, Orange Oil, Neroli Oil, Black Currant Seed Oil.

Why whould the put that ingredient in the product with so many other good ingredients in it? That may be what's causing the some-timey results that some of the ladies are having. I just noticed that after picking up some today... :ohwell:

bumping this 5 year thread

I tried this DC for the first time today and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!
It reminds me of Diez En Uno BUT thicker, leaves my hair way more moisturized. This will definitely be a staple from this point forward.

Maria....I started using this about two weeks ago and I loved. This past week-end I used it after my Henna/Cassia Treatment, but added honey, Rosemary EO, Jojoba Oil and Castor Oil. My hair came out so soft. I will be using this once a week from now on!!

Good to know. I just ordered some of this (waiting to receive it). I've heard good reviews about it.

No way! I can't believe I didn't try this before. Then again, I can't freakin find it anywhere. I think I need to stop going to the Sally's in the burbs cuz they never have the stuff I want/need.

OMG! Same here. My Sally's didn't have any of that. I don't even have BSS's in my neighborhood. I went to Sally's this weekend looking for it and couldn't find it. I had to order it online.

ooooo! I just bought a 16oz Jar of this! ! ! I can't wait to Try it.:yay:

It gets such nice reviews for a fairly inexpensive product.

And since it is nice & thick.....it will work perfectly with my Steamer!:lick:

I Absolutely Heart :love:Conditioners!

I am just finishing up my jar. I've been committed to DCing since May, and I LUV DPR!! I was attracted to the product for the lack of ingredients that I could not pronouce, but I stay with it because it makes my 4a coily hair feel like silk. Though it does not tout itself as such, it leaves my hair amazingly detangled, a true feat for my tangly prone hair. THE TRUTH! :)

Thanks for bumping! For a long while I thought I was alone in my love for DPR.
