I am curious. My hair is holding up better than I thought.

How about you ladies?

Considering I'm 15 weeks post and the weather is extremely hot it's holding up pretty good..I'm really surprised!

I am off my regimen and at a point where I am doing less to it. My hair seems to be holding up though. It's soft. I haven't officially done a length check yet.

My hair is doing really well. Co washing and baggying keeps my moisture level high and i have not had a problem with dryness.

Not bad. I did a straight up henna treatment that dry out my hair. I'm only doing henna glosses from now on. I've been washing twice a week with powders and DC'ing. Twist outs from now on. I'll try another henna gloss this week.

Awesome hair, my hair loves Summer! Being in the baggy challenge is the best move ever for my hair. Hair has moisture for days! Doing a length check at end of summer, FWL, with some hair already below that. Excited to see where I will be!

Also discovered my daughters hair loves Summer too. Her hair is growing like weeds!

I have been frustrated with my hair this summer and I'm not sure why. I can't keep a style because of the humidity and I also can't do wash n' go's so it's like I'm stuck.

Why can't you wash n go? Have you found the right produts to hold the style when it dries?

Mine is alright, growing and feeling thicker from the no heat challenge. I wanna go WnG crazy but I'm not hot on any breakage so after a week or so its back to braids maybe...

So-so. I have come to realize that Hairveda Whipped ends is no match for this houston heat and humidity. It has consistently been in the upper 90s to 100s the last month and a half. I have been bunning, wearing a half wig, and yet I came across a handful of split ends. Im also about 12 weeks post relaxer so..... I normally moisturize and seal my ends only with whipped ends and coconut oil but i had to go back to the drawing board at the beginning of july. I purchased some breakfree so imma see how that works..

Its growing very fast....I have hella ng after 3 weeks post. I really haven't been styling my hair too much bc it doesen't last, plus it's soo hot I always want to drench my head in the shower. The sun just seems to suck all the moisture out so I have to keep a spray bottle to mist my head with.

No it's not that....I've got my wng's perfected it's just that they make my ends full of those pixie knots and I hate it. It makes me have to trim way too much.:nono:

I just trimmed and I refuse to mess up my ends this time.

It's holding up great. Growing like a weed. I've been wearing styles that don't try to work against the humidity (twistouts braidouts and buns)

This summer, NYC weather has been unseasonable mild so far my hair is doing much better this summer than usual. I'm 11 weeks post and the only reason I'm getting a touch up is because I want to wear it straight without using so much heat to make it straight. I been wearing braid-outs, and washig my hair once a week to cut down on the overhandling. I also been combing my hair every 5 to 7 days as well.

My hair is doing well. I haven't figured out FL humidity so I'm just wearing buns. I really need to try WnG's. I just don't know where to start...product wise. Just seems so daunting to me...

Well my original plan was to wear my hair down this summer...but I'm in Houston and it's been from 99-103 in hot temps here! So when I wear curls they don't last long at all.

So I've been keeping it up mostly....

Fabulous...thx for asking! I co-wash weekly and airdry in 10 twists. I'm mostly wearing twistouts and twistout updos. When I want to change things up, I'll wear spiral sets. These styles work well with heat and humidity and allows me to stretch my texlax touchups, and still looking decent.

Well...it WAS holding up pretty well until I henna'd last week, so this week my hair has been DRY! :perplexed: I'm kinda frustrated iwth it right now to be honest :wallbash:. I used to have some serious HIH issues, but now that it's dry, I don't even like touching it :ohwell:. Sigh...I do love henna though, so I think next time I'll use Karishma rather than the Dulhan Mehendi one I've been using...I will be DC'ing when I get home from work :yep:

Mine is doing well so far. I flatironed over 2 weeks ago and it's still very straight. The humidity has been unusually low though.

i feel the same way as my fellow NY'ers...the weather isnt that bad here...which sucks because i want a tan :ohwell: anywho...i'm enjoying my half wigs and buns. I'm putting a wet and wavy sewin in today...CANT WAIT!!!

See, I used Dulhan and Cassia last month and exprienced this and I was wondering if it was the Dulhan. But, I wasn't sure since I had never used Henna before only Cassia. Makes me wonder!
Anyway....I am LOVVVING my hair right now. I have never had HIH and I do now. I did a Henna/Cassia Treatment on Saturday and my hair turned out so great. I'm in the Dallas area and we've had over 100 degree whether and it still looks great. I've got 3 day hair going on and it still looks good. Unfortunately, I'm suppose to be hiding my hair until December (a challenge) and now all I want to do is flaunt it!! I"m so bad!:grin: First challenge and I fail. Oops

My Hair is Fantabulous! My Cure for the Summa' Times Blues has been .......Phony Bunning.:look:

It give me the Opportunity to Co-Wash, DC, Moisturize & Seal while having a nice Sleek Hairstyle. Little to No Manipulation. And that's a Good Thing.

However, at almost 9 weeks Post, it will soon be Fro' Bunning as it gets more difficult to lay down.:perplexed

Thank God for Gel, Serum and a Good Daily Moisturizer. All have been a Lifesaver.:yep:
