Should I BC my damaged ends for evenness? Opinions please?

OK ladies... I just posted some nice pics of 6 month growth which was cool and all... except now I just decided that I want to wear twists until I lose 20 lbs as my punishment for being this size... So my twists on the left are straight, and then the ones on the right have my natural curl on the ends...
and its been this way since my last trim, but now my hair is growing out and the thick healthy hair is all pretty, then the ends look like thin dead nothingness...
I mean when I style it you cant tell, but I can't do a presentable wash n go and my twists are just uneven as hell... what do yall think I should do...

my current length... should I sacrifice this progress for evenness??? I would have to let go of about 3 inches... be back up to SL again...

I can style it just fine, its just wash n gos and twists that upset me... and those are my favorites... :perplexed

If I am just being picky let me know... I just want to have that pretty even thick stuff that all the hair-lebrities on here have...

I have some issues with my ends too, but I'm not chopping them cause I'm bunning right now.
You should go off of what is most important to you in the long term. If it's length I would keep it. My hair just grows unevenly. If I trimmed every time it was like that I would NEVER reach my goals.

Honestly, even with as much drama as my ends have given me, bc'ing is not an option. Especially since I've witness (on this board) that there is life after a few minor setbacks.

So my vote would be to try dusting UNTIL you get to the length where the sacrifice won't be that big of a bother. HTH :)

Personally, if the ends weren't causing me any problems (knots, tangles, etc) then I'd just throw some rollers on the ends of my twists and call it a day.

I just cut mine off yesterday. My ends were knotty, straw-like and tangled. I cut them off and puts braids in. I figure in 3 months it will grow back out.

GET RID OF THE BAD ENDS!!!!!

"Health before length"...
What I am doing as I transition
is that I trim of the damaged ends.. they cause knots
and tangles...plus I hate unevenness

your hair is gorgeous by the way...

Exactly! Thats why I cut my hair in May because those knots were not helping me.:nono:

I would just cut it off if the ends were giving me problems like knots and tangles and matting. Or just try cutting off about an inch. Your curls may shrink up enough to where you do not see the uneveness of your length.

Yes if they are damaged definitely cut them. I don't believe in holding onto bad ends. I did that back in the day and my hair NEVER grew. I trim my hair frequently and it grows back so fast w/ no huge setbacks.

Well it's obviously bothering you; and since it's most noticeable in your 2 favorite styles, I would go ahead and trim.
Or, if you don't mind the extra little bit of work, you could curl the ends like msa suggested.
Either way, let us know what you decide!
