I am so pissed. Now I can't see fotki pics of others?! Is there anyone else having these problems or is it fotki trying to force people to upgrade again. I am so angry I could just spit!

I'm currently moving my pictures to a new picture hosting website. Fotki used to be the best but now it sucks.

Free users are not allowed any privacy or privileges. They obviously do not know about the credit crunch.

I haven't upgraded yet (I still have a free account) and I can still see albums of people with public fotkis. I haven't tried any password protected ones. I'm thinking that maybe it has something to do with the setting people put on their individual albums.

Not seeing people's photos might be the people's settings that make it so. I know there are people who's Fotkis are set so that only logged in people can see ie only Fotki members. Maybe one could probably set it also so only "Friends" can see.

The only thing I have been thinking about with Fab Hair Project, is what happens when you leave? Do you own your content? On Fotki, at least everything you upload belongs to you.

I'm skeptical about putting all my pics on a hair-networking site.

This is what I was going to say, when it is fotki there is usually a maintenance page. you should msg the persons fotki to ask what settings they have just to make sure

Yes, I thought it was just me, but a lot of members have very stringent privacy setting on their albums so you can't really see much of anything unless you are their friend as well as you being their friend. I'm learning that now.

Aww... Stop hating Fotki. Be mad at folks changing their settings to make it hard to see their pics. Fotki just lays down the cards and people pick them and do as they want with them. As in the Progressive ad: Fotki empowers folks. Power to the people!

I think there is a glitch in my account. Because I can't see my own pictures, even when logged into my account, but I can see other people's fotki pictures.

That's happened to me where I've had one or two photos missing. I usually send CS an email and they usually fix it. I haven't ever had plenty of photos missing. But let me have a gander and see...

My albums look fine. So email Customer Service and tell them about missing photos.

I'm a non paying member, signed in, and fotki is showing me all of your albums are empty. One album is locked. HTH

Thank you both for checking. As a side note, I do have two locked albums in my fotki (b/c they show my bra in some of them).

I hope my pictures come back. If they do I think I will transfer them over to picturetrail.

They are just not showing up physically but your albums do show they are there. Many people are having problems, I think they are doing maintenance because the website is a little laggy at times.
