A bone fragment displaced and lodged near my big toe making a very painful announcement. I thought it was a bunion but I knew a bunion wouldn't get inflamed and grow bigger and bigger every day! :look:

Anyhow believe it or not, it turns out that I had an Nintendo Wii-related injury (I used to get my Wii Tennis on for hours at a time) :look: So I had a bunionectomy performed to remove the bone fragment the beginning of June. I was on disability for a month and Monday was my first day back to work.

I was only back to work for 2 days when my foot swelled up and the incision got tender, so I'm working from home today and tomorrow. My incision is on the side of my big toe area and every sandal or flipflop I try to wear rubs on the spot. A section of healing scab got scraped off by accident and now I really can't put anything on my foot, not even a soft slipper.

I ordered the FitFlops (recommended by a coworker who had both of her feet done) to go with all my summer outfits :look:.

Thank you! That's what my colleague told me and she convinced me. I got a delivery today, ripped open the box and put a pair on. They do feel good, but my right foot is still a little too swollen so I can only wear the left one! :giggle:

I got the Walkers in bronze w/pink, silver metallic, black patent, chocolate suede and another pair in black/leather & suede. I'm soooo extravagant. :look:

I hope you're up and round soon; take care of that foot, so you can hit up Sally's soon:lachen:....... I know tacky, huh?? I've heard good things about those fitflops, I have such a narrow foot (AA), I wonder if they'll fit me.
