Summer's got my hair feeling greasier than a bucket of chicken!

...And I don't mean the grilled kind, y'all! I honestly feel like shampooing every time I wash my hair, it's that serious! I only use a small amount of coconut oil when sealing, and when it dries it feels like I've put tons. My hair's acting weird. My scalp is probably producing a lot of oils because it is really, really hot right now here in Florida :nono:.

I hear ya.

Different seasons require different products for me. I HAVE to co-wash or rinse almost every day in summer just for the greasiness on my scalp. And my face... although I haven't found the best thing for that yet cuz I'm still greasy-faced and breaking out. :perplexed

I wish my hair was oily. Mine is as dry as the Sahara desert.

I've never had oily hair before in my life! I'm not used to it. I'm used to dealing with dry hair issues. I'm probably going to have to start co-washing daily as well. I was co-washing every other day, but I can't deal with all this oiliness! Everytime I touch my roots I moisturize my fingers :nono:.

I've been using fat free greek yogurt weekly as a facial treatment, and so far it's been doing wonders for my combination skin (oily t-zone, normal cheek area). I mix it with honey, strawberries, and a bit of oatmeal, but if your skin is very oily I'm sure the straight up yogurt would be good enough.

Yogurt huh... not just yummy but useful! I shall give it a shot, nothing to lose, if it doesn't work out I can just eat the rest of it. ;)

hhmmmm i dont know. my hair and skin is normal i guess. its not dry or oily but i noticed that this summer heat is good for my hair. i can use a leave in and go and my hair will be soft all day. i dont have to use a heavy moisturizer and sealant anymore.
but i have noticed that when i use shea butter on my face i wake up with breakouts i guess because its too heavy.

If the cowashing everyday does not help, it might not hurt to try shampooing more often. In the summer, I shampoo almost everyday, and my hair is still moisturized. If I were to try that in any other season. :perplexed
