Danimani,
May I ask why did you start relaxing again? It looks terrific but, I have been thinking alot about transitioning but, I doubt that I'd ever go through w/ it.

Wow! Look at all that growth! You have totally changed your hair in a few years. It's so much healthier and thicker!

Congratulations! Inspiring photos that show what is so very do-able and repeatable. Wonderful, wonderful, progress! Bravo!!!:yep:

Becausemy hair was a mix of crazy textures. I had gorgeous curls in the back, straight nappy curls in the front. The mix of the two textures (due in large part from my half white, half black, half Indian family) was simply too much. It took way too long to detangle, and I was limited in styles.

The reason I went natural in the first place was to save my hair, and I couldn't deal with the thought of losing what I worked for two years to save.

Going natural was one of the best decisions I ever made. I learned to take care of my hair, to do my hair, that water didn't hurt my hair :lachen:

But it was time to go back. I only relax 2-3 times a year. So it works out perfectly for me.

the red line is where my shoulder blades are in each photo. I've gained a couple of inches--my stylist was shocked at all the new growth and how well my hair was on.

For those who want a refresher, here are photos of my journey from relaxed to transitioning to natural for two years back to relaxed in the past 9 months.

Great progress!!! Looks so healthy...keep up the good work...I wish I was bold enough to stretch past 8 weeks...lol

I might commented in this thread before because I remember seeing this pics but man! your pic from 06 to now? Psychologically, how do you feel about yourself, your hair, that you did alone (or did you have help from a stylist?) I'd be so PRA-OUD! That's a big turnaround and not just length. Where were you NOT doing before?
