conditioning without shampooing

Sure is.

Now, I wouldn't do it if you already have a lot of product build up on your hair. Many people DC on dry hair. Or you could just rinse your hair for a few minutes and then DC, which I've also done.

I'm doing it right now.

I've been doing for it about a year. I deep condition with olive oil and conditioner mixed together on dry hair. Then I put a on shower cap and top it with a turbie twist.

I think it would depend on the product buildup you have on your hair. What's the point of deep conditioning if the good stuff is not able to do it's full job because you need a wash first?

I DC on dry hair once a week now (to save time)... my hair absorbs the conditioner fine. I leave it on for at least 1 hour... sometimes I put my DC in my hair, workout with it in and cowash out at most 2 hours after.

If you are doing it fairly often then I think its OK. There wouldn't be time to accumulate buildup. I think there is a challenge going on now with the theme of DCing every other day for the summer. I cannot even imagine shampooing that often, so yeah I would DC w/o shampooing first.

I agree - if you are conditioning at least a couple times a week and not using heavy products, especially those with cones, you'll be fine, If you're not, I think it would be a waste of conditioner and time.

Yes. Thats what i do. I love hairveda sitrinillah but it never worked on wet hair. I started using is as a pre shampoo deep conditioning treatment on dry hair and sit under the dryer for a few mins. It works great.

thats the only way i ever do it. i'm not about to do all that washing lol. just know the dc out first so i can get it over with.
