I always want to try new things. But I look at my stash and remind myself that it will be a while before I am able to. I have a big, big crate FULL of hair products. I feel like it will easily take me two years before I get through the thing. I am grateful to be so blessed! But sometimes I laugh at myself lol.

Just to name a few I have 6 liter size Silk Elments Conditioner and Shampoo, 2 big bottles of Aphogee 2 min, 2 Big Bottle of Porsity Control Shampoo and Conditioner and so much more. If I see a new conditoner I want to try I just get it. I know my stash will never run dry.

I voted up to a year and a half. When CON changed their formula, I bought 4-32oz bottles of the green and red labels (4 each). They're in a bin. I only co-wash once or twice a week, so the 6 co-wash conditioners should (maybe, I pray...) last a while. I'll need to restock leave-in condish, I only have 5 and I run through it like it's water. I've got more deep conditioners than I can shake a stick at. As we speak, I was putting them on a spreadsheet as encouragement to STOP BUYING!!:lachen: And because I make so many concoctions, and add stuff to my conditioners, it thins them out and increases the length they last. I'll continually replenish my ayurveda stash, but hopefully that's it.

6 to 8 months but in october im going to make sure im stocked for the winter. Im trying to reduce getting products to only 2x a year.

I like that idea of getting products 2x/year. I get a lot of products online. I've found most of my staples now--I just need to get through all these cowash conditioners I have and make decisions. If I was only able to shop my stash I would say I am set for a year or more. My only concern would be my dcs and hair grease because I tend to be heavy handed.

Yes i was thinking fall and spring because that's when the good sales are, save money, buy in bulk and save on shipping costs.:yep:

My conditioners will last me a year or two ecause I like to buy them by the gallon. Its cheaper that way.

My moisturizers will last maybe a year cause I moisturize twice a day.

My oils won't last too long. I do have a lot of oil, but I also use the oils on my body. I like oil better than lotion.

I like going into the stores and looking at new hair care products. It's kinda like some women go looking for clothes or eat chocolate to relax or when they need a little lift in their spirt. Well going in the BSS does that for me. I go almost weekly. It's one of my clam happy places, lol. Even if I only buy some .99 cent conditioner. I bought Mendex and Hask Placenta this week. Yes I drove to the BSS to spend 3 dollars, lol.

In spite of my use it up challenge/transitioning:

shampoo
: still on the liter of chelating shampoo I bought in 2007 and I have more other shampoos

deep conditioners:
used to have at least a years worth at a time, now I have about 6 months worth. the protein/strengthening ones I may use more of now.
countless rinse outs: not sure because I am transitioning and starting to use these more
leave ins: 6 months of my staple salerm 21 and some others that I will use or give away
moisturizers- I still have at least 6 months worth- I use a little at a time and I stocked up when one I like was discontinued

Sounds good to me!! Lol

not long because i stopped stocking up- but once i buy my house i will start back to stock-piling for at least 6 mos worth

I probably have enough to last me 8-10 months. I only have enough daily moisturizers for 3 months though. I've significantly narrowed my products down over the years.

Shampoo- 3 months
Deep conditioners- 1 year (maybe longer  )
Leave-Ins- 6 months to a year
Moisturizers- 3 months
Serums- 1 year

I don't have a stash, thank goodness.

I have 2 conditioners and 2 oils. That usually lasts me 4-6 weeks if I do my hair when I'm supposed to. Then I buy more right before I run out.

I can only really speak for my shampoo stash. I'm pretty sure I'm set for at least 2-3 years at the rate I use shampoo. I've sworn off buying any until I use it all up. After that I'm only keeping one clarifying poo and a few poo bars on hand.....maybe one moisturizing poo but that's it. I can't wait until i get to this point.

Conditioners and everything else I go through pretty regularly. Oils I'm set on for at least a couple years but I know I'll be buying more.

If I were on a deserted island I could survive on my stash for probably a year or more, but I would be so sad that I couldn't buy uneccessary stuff at CVS, Walgreens or Ulta.

Shampoo-3-6 months. I'm testing out shampoo bars
Rinse out conditioner: 2-3 months. Im heavy handed and run through them esp when I do hennas
Deep conditioners-1-1 1/2 year. I bought a gallon of Jessicurl which saved my $$$ and I still have some other DC in my stash
Leave ins- 2 years? I have a liter of MOP that's halfway done-it's been almost a year. I recently got some MOP leave in tubes for super cheap sooo its gonna be a while. MOP leave in spreads easy.
Moisturizers/butters/gels/oils-2 years. I bought a lot during hairveda sale. I love the glaze and green tea butter. I stash it in the fridge.

So i will be sustained for quite a while.

3 months because I am still in the trying things and giving some away period. As I am finding what I need though I'm buying things up like a made woman, so for now it's 3-4 months worth of things.

I voted for over 3 years easy. I have a lotttttttttaaa hair products and it was all I could do NOT to buy those bottles of Pantene Nature Fusion and Aussie Smoothing Conditioners I saw today. I had to literally run out of the hair isle in the foodstore to resist the temptation. I went straight over to the fruit and veggie isle for the stuff I actually went there for in the first place.

Wow! We are so much alike! Are you my long lost twin??

I have been putting a dent into my stash since last year due to some of the "no buy" and "shop your stash" challenges. I think I'm down to about six months of stuff.

I am a stock-pile PJ of product that are discountinued, formula changed, products that I dont have to order on line sold locally.
I have bins of original CON-green label poo,Suave Milk & Honey,Daily Defense Tender Apple,Nature Gate,White Rain Tropical Coconut and Aphogee 2 Min etc. so many more.
I have not bought a lot of new products this year only replacing staples, sticking to what works.
My stash will last 3 years.

wow! I have such a stash. maybe 8 months. and now there's samples of stuff i tried that i now want to purchase. it never ends

Conditioner: Prolly a year. I have 5 bottles of AOHSR, 1 GBP and 2 16oz Shescentit.com conditioners coming on the way. I DC twice a week so...

Moisturizers: Maybe 3/4 of a year. I have 3 AOHC, 3 OHHB, 2 CTDG, 2 of the Pomades...

Shampoo: A year, I do not use allot.

I think my stash will last me about 6 months but i am always buying something else and falling in love with it so i dont know.

I finally used up the pounds of conditioners I had. Now, I am determined to keep to my regular staple products, so that means I have enough to last threee months. Phyto products have expiration dates, so I can't have anything over 12-18 months anyway. The exception is my camellia oil - 16 ounces lasts over a year and that includes sharing with my girls.
