The 8oz. Chocolate Soft-liss kit from: www.soft-liss.com :drunk::yep:

I am so excited! I've had my eyeballs on this product for awhile. I like the fact that you can order directly from the company without a license. You have a choice of sizes. You get everything you need it the kit, plus the smallest kit is enought for 2-3 applications. This kit will last until the end of the year!

Oh, and the kit is reasonable ($96.00 plus shipping) with very fast shipping (according to member Dany06 she recvd her product in 2 days flat!)

I will post pictures of my hair once I receive the product. Oh, and I tex-lax for about 10 minutes this past weekend. Intially, I wasn't going to but I want bone-straight results. :yep: I'm going to purchase some Carusso Steam Rollers too. :)

How did you have your eye on this kit? I can't even see photos of the product! Are there any review on the board for this line? Please elaborate...

Good luck! I just did my second BKT with Softliss Chocolate on Sunday. It took forever, but I am loving the results! It smells faintly like chocolate, I guess. Totally worth the money and effort, though. I'm thinking about getting the Strawberry next time. Looking forward to your report....

I have my rejuvenol kit - 16 oz treatment plus the clarifying poo, after care poo, after care condish & frizz serum. I plan to do my 3rd BKT this weekend. I've never done it on my own (go to the salon) but I'm giving it a shot.

Good for you, Veejee!! I love that we have another way to get bone straight results without creating super fragile hair. BKT is so versatile!

Good choice! I am natural and used it on last Sunday for first time. It nearly straightened my 4a/3b/3c hair. (too lazy to take pics will do next time). Maybe I used too much. I like the kit because it has shampoo and conditioner also.

Very strong smell even through chocolate. I had safety glasses on:perplexed and my eyes still teared up a bit. Although no more than with the ammonia in hair color though compared to past hair chem experiences.

Definitly recommend softliss.:yep:

MarieB,

Did you have any issues with the fumes? The 2% Global Keratin yielded excellent results but that smell and my allergies no way.:nono: What temp did you use to flatiron your hair? Sorry to bombard you with questions..lol. :)

It's not really that bad (except the fumes..lol). I would rather smell those fumes, though, than spend $350 on a treatment though. Seriously, if someone in the North Texas area charged $150 or less I'd pay to have it done. :yep:

The BKT is so versatile. There is NO WAY I would attempt to relax bone straight. I'd rather texturize then BKT. I hope it my Caruso Rollers work on BKT hair!

Darn, I was hoping it wouldn't be strong:ohwell:. I still can't wait to use it though..lol.

I used a Sedu that only went up to 410 F. I did six-seven passes though. My hair takes heat well as a natural so I was not worried and my hair and ends feel fine now.

Actually there were more fumes blowdrying than flatironing. My hair took forever to blowdry because I am natural I guess. Next time I am thinking the fumes will be less because it will take less effort to blowdry.

I think you will be ok. A household cleaning mask, safety glasses and ventilation should work fine.

I am looking forward to your results too. :yep: I BKT once a month because I am a natural. I have been eyeing this kit also, and plan to buy as ONE of my birthday presents for next month. I like the fact that I will be able to wash the same day.

Washing the same day is definitely a perk of Soft-liss, Inoar, and Organic Thermo. :yep:

You had beautiful results! I'm considering going back natural ONLY if I can bkt and flatiron without reversion. My natural hair is 3b/c and the only time I could really straighten without reversion was in the fall/winter when the humidity was low. If you flatiron your natural hair with a bkt will it get frizzy in very humid weather?

Ladies, don't forget that you can buy an inexpensive fume extractor to eliminate the fumes.

$40 isn't a bad investment when you consider how many fumes this will clear over the lifetime of applying BKT.

I think Sheba1 found one for a little less $.

Thank you. My first BKT was done on a humid rainy weekend with no revision. My second one, I actually used a wave iron the second day, and washed the third. I didn't wait the full four days, and I have not flat ironed sinced. I actually like my wash n go's because it loosen my curly pattern. So I will not flat iron again until my next BKT, which will be around the week of my birthday (7-11). :yep:

My hair DOES get frizzy but after about 3-4 days (in high humidity) as opposed to my previous 3 hours literally.. I've been flatironing weekly on low heat and co-washing midweek with twistouts, I've retained ALL of my growth it seems like...(

Hot Dog!!! :spinning:

I'm doing my 3rd BKT tomorrow. QOD Max. I'm using Redkin Cleansing Cream for my clarifier, BabyBliss Tourmaline flat iron (1in) and I got a fume extractor. We will see how goes it. I usually have fumes and watery eyes so hopefully the extractor will help. Safety goggles don't do anything.

I've been looking at something like this, although if your results are good- then this may be the one. Keep us posted please.
