How To moisturize properly?

Help I need answers. I use butters to moisturize.

I don't know if this is a proper way, but I use an oil to seal. Sometimes Olive or Castor. It helps keeping my moisture locked in.

I don't think butters moisturizes the hair. I think butters are great to seal and soften the hair.

You might want to use a water based moisturizer or leave in and then use a butter or oil to seal in the moisture. HTH

I use my moisturising spritz (water, conditioner, evoo and glycerin) then seal in with my shea mix (shea butter, aloe vera gel, coconut and castor oils).

I agree. A butter is more of a sealant. Find a good creamy water based moisturizer then use the butter to seal.
