What would you say have been the #1 thing that have helped you so far in your hair journey with gaining length, thickness, or both.
Weather it be protective styles, MN, Rollersets, growth oils, and more. I would like to hear them all.

I would say stretching relaxers to at least 12 weeks.

Henna has helped with thickness and seemed to make my hair stronger and not so fragile

For me I believe its leaving the heat alone.....

Not overlapping relaxers, and stretching (if you are one of those who can do so)

Stretching.

Relaxing so hair is wavy when wet.

Cowashing and natural oil.

For me, it's texlaxing and removing direct heat from my regimen.

I stretched my relaxer for a 12 weeks and it helps a lot with maintaining thickness.

It would be a tie between: going natural and combing my hair less often.

1) STOPPED wrapping at night (permanent thickening)
2) Minimize daily combing (permanent thickening)
3) Biotin (temporary thickening, lasts as long as i do it)
4) Henna (temporary thickening, lasts as long as i do it)

Thanks KiniKakes. Its so nice to see you again and congrats on the little one.

Finger combing, very little heat, going natural. Maybe henna, I'm still unsure if it's thickened my hair or not.

Vitamins (Biotin, Vit B, multi)
CoWashing
Low Manipulation (try to comb only on wash days)
Use Direct Heat about once/twice a month

Wearing protective styles such as braids and cornrows has thickened my hair tremendously. I'm working on accomplishing this without weave!

My hair got healthier when I started rollersetting and no more blow drying. Also I think daily moisture is key.

i've always had thickness. every single stylist i've been to in my life has noted how thick my hair is--even when i was relaxed.

growth--staying away from heat

Stretching Relaxer past 12 weeks
Conditioner-washes
Haitian Castor oil-stinks but works
Polysorbate 80
Using more protein based products

Baggying my ends and sealing them with JBCO (Jamaican Black Castor oil). This helps alot for my thickness.

Joico's complete K-pak line and Henna. Thickened my hair up significantly!

For thickness and length retention I would have to say co-washing, frequent conditioning, adding butters over my conditioners and occasional baggying;making the last rinse a cold water one; protecting my hair at night (pony puff, silk pillowcase).
