Hello ladies,
I was wondering if anybody have experience unbalance ng. In my case, the right side is longer than the left side and the back is longer than the front. Can anybody help me see the light? I am going to BC this weekend and this this my only concern.

Thanks!

My apologies if this issue have already been addressed.

i think we all might have this problem for some reason one side always grow faster the the other i dont know why and it also seems like one side is thicker than the other too

I'd go ahead and say - this is very normal...

I, too, have different rates of growth in different areas of my scalp. My right side is longer than the left too and the NG at the back is longer than at the front.

yes, I've noticed when measuring new growth the back of my head grows slower than the front and middle.

My right side grows faster than my left side. I have on idea why. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I sleep on my right side more and put more strain on that area. Who knows.

Go ahead and do the BC and have it cut correctly. Good luck and don't forget to post pictures!!

Thank you ladies for your responses, maybe it has to do with blood circulation. Just like one side of your body is bigger or different than the other. It seems that it also applies to hair!

Same. It's been two weeks almost and my hair grows like a weed...BB's everywhere :lachen: But at the nape it's fine and shorter. O_o

Yeah, I noticed this also. And it seems to be more intensified when using growth aids.

Hey Maria!!, I thought the same thing too!!...of course I am posting pictures!! I will finally be free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay::yay:

Good to know that im not the only one with this problem.:look: My crown gets NG first and and my halo ( sides, tempels, and nape) last. It can be very frustrating at times, I didn't get any growth in my halo until about 6-8 weeks post.:wallbash:

Hey D-09
I had been wearing braids\weave for a short period of time. Approx. 3 months. I was going to go about 8 months and then do the big chop! Like someone else mentioned, I started feeling those waves and and couldn't wait anymore. Wanted to see how I would look. Also wanted to get my reggie down before my hair began to get too long. I mentioned that to say this...

I too have\had different levels of new growth all over. This past Sunday (5/31/09) I did my big chop! But I did a 90% bc. My sides\back are gone and I am pure natural (sporting a twa), but my crown is still transitioning.

I acquired more length in those areas and wasn't willing to just cut it all over. Soooo I cut it to a style that I could wear twist\braid outs to blend with my big chop! Even a light flat iron. (depending on my choice..lol) I like the versatility.

I just thought I would give you something to think about...lol
