A question of thickness

When we talk about hair thickness, are we talking about the thickness of each strand of hair or the density of hair on our heads? I'm assuming that thickness refers to strand thickness since that can be changed. Can you help me understand?

I really dont think the board has establish the difference from what I have seen.
I usually refer to thickness as density but it can also mean circumference of stand.

I think that the density of the hair on the head and the thickness of each strand of hair are directly related because if each strand gets thicker inevitably the density of the hair would increase too..so maybe its all the same thing? JMO

However it can mean the density. You can have thick strands with low density (although this isn't usually the case)...you can also have fine strands with thick density.

I have fine strands with medium density. It would be much easier to follow someone/find a hair idol etc., if you know BOTH.

I see your point...but that doesn't change the density.

Density = number of strands on a head.

I have normal to thin strands but a surplus amount of hair on my head, which makes my hair very dense thus extremely thick.
