That stuff is THICK as hell so I use it as a pre-poo and I've used it as a base to prep for a relaxer and just slather the stuff on my scalp and hair.

My regular coconut oil is nowhere near as thick and greasy as this...I cant even seal with it..just too rich.

really? I found mine in my stash liquified. I was like WTH?! it solidified( is that even a word?) but when it gets warm, its melts. I dont mind though. its a great sealant.

when i was relaxed i used it everyday as a sealant. sometimes my hair was so soft so i wouldnt use moisturizer, i would just smooth some of this through my hair. loved it. during the summer i can see me using this everyday on my twa. i also mix it in my conditioners.

I guess BJ has her reasons, but MAN do I wish this were available all year round. I'm using mine as sparingly trying to make it last, but shooot, that ain't gonna cut it. I guess next time there is an end of season sale I'll just have to be prepared to purchase 10 jars or something. And another thing . . . I'd sure like to get this in a jug, or at least one the size of perm solution packaging. Definitely more than the little jar I purchased.

I love this stuff. I use mine as a sealant. I love the smell. Its really creamy and smooth too. I still have some from last year black friday sale and when I open it, its still creamy and smooth.

- I pour some Vatika Frosting in my deep conditioners just cuz I'm gangsta like that LOL j/k
- I pre-poo with it. I'll leave it on my hair for an hour, go under the dryer with a hooded cap, rinse, co-wash and style.
- I will use it to seal my ends in the spring and summer.
- For my summer wash and go's - After my leave-in conditioner is on my hair I apply a quarter sized amount of the oil to my wet hair then apply gel.

I don't use Vatika Frosting by itself in the winter because it will freeze my hair

I used it as a DC yesterday and.......it made my hair really soft!

I used to use it to moisturize my scalp but...it made my hair VERY oily.

I made a mistake of going outside with VF on my hair and it froze! I learned my lesson that day.

sometimes I just open my VF to smell it because its delicious!

That happened to me last year! It was about 25 degrees outside and I applied the VF on my straightened hair. I was waiting for my bus and touched my hair... it was as hard as a rock  LMAO

I really like using it as a pre-ayurvedic paste treatment. I'll slather it on generously, put my hair in a bun, and hang out for a few hours. I'll then wet my hair and apply whatever ayurvedic paste mix I'm using. It's a really good moisturizing base.

I use it daily...same way i use CO. I'm transitioning and wearing an updo and my hair can get dry....but not with this stuff. I love it:grin:
