Would I look too "hood"???

I understand where you are coming from OP. In my office (like 100 people), there are like 4 AA women only. So I was VERY self conscious about wearing a scarf to our workout room. I was afraid to get "those" kind of questions. Then one day, I just got over it and said I don't care. I need to work out and keep my hair laying down flat at the same time. I've never had a stupid question or a dumb comment about it, and even if I did, who cares?

Some gym's dont even let girls wear scarves. I guess they tryna keep the hood out. lol. I think as long as its a solid color, clean with no loose threads its should be good. Pleeeeeeez dont do the Jemima thang and have the lil' bow in the front. they might think you ready to fight. lol

ive found a mesh running hat thats fitted pretty tightly to my head works just as well as a scarf. after a run i come home smooth out my edges really quick with a brush jump in the shower and my hair is all good.

XSport gym in Garden City doesnt let you do that, they dont want guys coming in their with bagy shorts, du-rags(which I'm so against because my BF had braids and if he didnt wearr one his hair would sweat out) or with fitted caps(baseball caps) on either.

you can look good at the gym too. just match your scarf to your oufit. you can go to rainbow and get those fake satiny type shirts that have cute patterns, and cut them to make a scarf too. do what you have to do to feel cute and not homely at the gym. its good motivation.

Girl please. I highly doubt that. Garden City is an Affluent upper class/upper middle class "hood". Im usually not a person that ever pulls out the race card.. but... Im slowly reaching for it. LOL
