AND THEN, I FINALLY made BSL IN 2009!!! It took a loooong time but I am very happy. Next stop - MBL! Here are some shots from my last touch up in April on various days.

One more thing (slowly stepping on soapbox). :look: I have bleached highlights and I am relaxed. I am on a mission to prove that double processed hair, if well taken care of, can grow to MBL or even waist. So watch out for me in a couple years. :wink3: :cowgirl:

LOL! She's in Pensacola. I travel 3 hours to see her. :look: But it's not too far from an outlet so that's how I justifiy the trip. :look: I'll PM you her information after work, she just moved.

4a and in between fine and coarse. It is very thick.

Always. I have done my own highlights before and it didn't work out too well. :burning:

I have a question, in your regimen you mentioned leaving in a full-strength conditioner.
Do you use the Redken as the leave-in? (Or whatever conditioner you CW with?)

Hmmm....my all time fave is Redken Butter Treat - I have been using that one for going on a year now. Note, it is cone heavy, but for some reason it just works with my hair. :yep: Let's see, I believe I have also used Aveda Sap Moss con which is DC'd. I typically seal with olive oil, and put some castor oil on my ends, but I have switched over to almond oil and I am liking that even better.

Me too! :giggle: I hope MBL doesn't take as long as BSL did - that was almost years from SL to BSL. :perplexed
 
Your hair is QUALITY!!!!:yep: It's beautiful. I bet you were very happy when the spurt arrived! It gets discouraging when it doesn't seem to grow, but when it does - watch out! Lookin great!
 
Congrats!! I am soo happy you made bsl, I knew you would soon!!! Hey girl still going strong with my blonde highlights, still using butter treat and olive oil, and not using as much heat!!! My hair is fine!!! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!!!! Yay, see you at mbl girl... I'll race you there!!!! Take care...:yep:
 
The protective styles worked wonders! You seem to be tall with a long torso (like me). You'd be mbl on a shorter person! It'll be here before you know it. I'll be checking out your progress - keep us posted
