I use Seyani butters (from SheScentIt.com). The base for them is unrefined shea butter. So, my vote is shea butter.

I voted for avocado butter. Not so much for moisture, but for sealing in the moisture. I either use it alone if I need heavy-duty sealing, or mix it with coconut oil. Mixing the two yields better results than using either by itself in most applications (for me, anyway). The shine is amazing.

avocado
I tried shea and it is too waxy for me. I tried it whipped, mixed w. oils, alone, and different vendors and t just doesn't work

Aloe butter is okay, it's more of an oil.

Unrefined shea. It's a bit too heavy to use not so long after a touch up, but once my hair is weeks and months post relaxer the shea will be just fine for me to use regularly. I don't need to seal using shea either.

I've been using hemp seed butter and olive butter lately. They're both good. I have a container of aloe butter, but I haven't tried it yet.

I am in love with my Avocado butter. I'm going to marry it LOL

I also use almond butter, shea butter, and mango butter

I love, love, loooooove Shea Butter. My Grand Auntie who lives in Northern Ghana actually makes it. So I get to get all I want of the pure, unrefined stuff for free. :D

My favorite it shea butter and my current favorite shea butter is the one mad by NOW Foods...its extremely creamy and has no weird scent to it at all...i mixed my vatika oil and some evoo in it and it smells like lemon frosting!!!

I love my apricot *cold shiver & tingle* butter the best it was a wicked butter, it was easy to work through my hair and smelt fine.. shame that I can''t find it any longer!!

I also like avacado. I've bought MuruMuru Butter & Cupuacu Butter but they are SOLID once I find out waddadoo with them I'll let you know about those..

I just received some organic unrefined shea butter and I love it. I once used a refined shea butter and it smelled like Crisco. I didn't like the way it felt in my hair and it took me 2 years to use all 4 ozs. But this unrefined shea feels a lot smoother, blends into my hair better, and smells sweet. I like it so much I tend to be heavy handed with it.

Send them to me and I'll make you some "Ms Kitty Butter":grin:

Unrefined pure shea butter is a staple for life. I whip it up myself and add oil to it sometimes. But even alone, it's a beautiful thing.

glad to see this mentioned! I forgot I had it but pulled it out this morning. I love it--it's so cost effective. It lasts forever and a small amount works wonders. :)
