Is anyone using yogurt for thier protein treatments. I did a search and saw that some ladies mix thiers with different things. But is anyone using it plain by itself? If so how is it working for you? And what brand do you use? Last but not least do you have to mix it with something and how are you using it? Prepoo, deep con etc.

I just saw an interesting ayurvedic hair recipe:

Mix ingredients together.

Bhrami, Shakakai, Amla powders (you decide how much)
plain yogurt (1/2 cup) give or take
honey (3 tbls) give or take
2 eggs
cold water

1. Oil hair with favorite oil. (castor/amla, or any of your choice)
2. Apply paste mixture, let sit for 30 min.
3. Rinse hair.
4. Wash hair with favorite herbal shampoo.

Do this weekly for healthy hair.

I never saw a recipe with yogurt before. I am going to try it.

I use yoghurt as a mild protein treatment. I mix it with a dollop of conditioner, honey, coconut cream and some oil (EVOO, etc.). I find I don't have to do another DC after this, as my hair is soft and detangled. It works better for me than stronger protein treatments. I also henna twice a month, though. HTH :)
