Sorry for my laziness but I finally uploaded the pictures. You will NOT get straight hair as a type 4 lady. You will get more elongated curls. In my case, I got a more 3c wavy texture all over. My hair is definitely more manageable.

* the black spot under my eye is my mascara.

do you have pics from before you applied the treatment?

Can relaxed head use this system too? I don't even know how I missed this thread but I am interested in how this treatment works. Is it a chemical or is it a natural product?

Relaxed heads can use it.
Its a chemical product.

Thanks Auburn. Does it straighten as well as a relaxer or does it leave the hair sort of texlaxed? I am looking for texlaxed effects. Oh, and does it come in mild, regular and super strengths?

I think she meant to put its not a chemical treatment. No its just one strength, and I doubt it will give relaxer like results. It will help you have smoother, less frizzy, and easier to style hair. Its a protein treatment, so your hair will be stronger as well, in that respect it may be even more beneficial to a relaxed head. Ulta sells it and they have 3.50 off coupons all the time or you can get $10 off at Beauty.com. Coupon link good until 3/31/09. Right now I think they have an extra set of the conditioner, leave-in, and shampoo as a gift.

For me, its like a mild tex. For a relaxed head, I assume it will look straighter but possibly some frizz left. I cant wait to see what it would do for a relaxed head especially if the hair is straight when its washed. It comes in one "strength" but Im thinking if you overlap treatments, your hair will become straighter overtime. hth.

The only reason why I said it was a chemical treatment is because of the main ingredient that gets the job done as opposed to that natural system they have out now...its called diva smooth or something? idk.

Sorry I wasnt clear.

Thanks again. So how many times can I do my hair with one complete treatment or is it only enough to be used once? This seem perfect for texlaxers too and that's what I am:yep:.

Wow, I like the curl pattern. How did it look after it dried? Same curl pattern or did it shrink again?

Auburn,

I think you mentioned that you have natural hair. Do you know how long it'll be before it starts to revert back to curly? I'm asking for a friend who did this and her curls are frizzy and she thinks she has to transition again. I'm trying to tell her to wait.

I have enough for at least one more treatment. Sorry it took me so long to answer.

This system says it will wear off in 30 days or with 16 washes. If anything, I would use a lot of salt water to get the treatment out.

So can someone explain to me why BKTs don't add too much protein to the point that it breaks off? I am thinking of Aphogee 2 step protein treatment where it makes your hair super hard. I can't use strong proteins like that so I'm wondering if something like this would be possible for me.

I would like to say that my hair has not fully converted back 100% I don't see this as a fail because I like how it looks (except the texlaxed looking front). My hair snaps very loudly so this has enhanced the strength of my hair  However, if I had a chance to go back and do this again, I probably wouldn't. I would probably strengthen my hair by other means (ie: eggs, Kpak). This is not to say someone else shouldn't try it but from my experience, I would've tried another alternative. You live and you learn. :yep:

I will post an update picture later tonight.
