I was thinking about this in the shower this morning. This is the LONG HAIR care forum so it can be assumed that almost everyone wants long hair. I will reach full BSL by this summer (hopefully). But why can't we say that every member who joined in 2008 and before has to be atleast at BSL by 2011...is that feasible?
 
I think its a great goal, esp for me because I want BSL length. But that isn't the goal length for everyone, so it may not be fair to impose. Just my opinion.
 
Hopefully I will be BSL by August 2009. I don't know if I count since I BCed to 1-3" last february. My armpits are so far from my shoulders and I wear my bra so low that I don't even know if I can make it.
 
I think thats very feasible...and it definitely shouldnt take that long....well if you just big chopped than yeah maybe.

I should be full BSL by summer too! YEA!
 
Well you cant impose it but it's a great goal. I hope to be there before 2011. I'm doing everything to get there. Everyone has really helped. This forum has talked me off the color ledge a few times and I have the numerous unopened dye bottles to prove it. I'm sure my hair is very happy about this.

It can take a long time if you are a slow grower or big chopped. I am a slow grower. I haven't had a touch up since Jan and I still don't have an inch of ng. My sides barely have 1/4. I'm thinking of trying MN on them because this is just ridiculous :spinning: :nono:

You really shouldn't go by your bra. By the looks of where you hair falls near your SHOULDER BLADE, you don't have that much further to go actually.

Just my 2 cents.

I'd be interested in this! Very interested!!!!! I want to make BSL for X-mas!:drunk:

That is such a good goal for me. I just BC'd last Sunday, so this is a PRIME opportunity to grow healthy, long hair. I've been a member since 2008 (Feb.), and I learned a great deal of information from this site, and even grew a lot of hair. My recent setback is the reason for my BC, but with the regimen I have now, the simplicity of my methods, and the products I use to moisturize and treat my hair, BSL by 2011 is DEFINITELY doable...

What, may I ask, happened to cause your setback? I just think it helps to SHARE what your setback WAS, so OTHERS won't fall into the same unfortunate situation...
 
I hope to be full bsl by jan 2010......but I'm giving myself four years to reach my complete goal, but I wish I would go to apl to waist length in two years!!!!

Because everyone's hair grows at a different rate. Some people might have started with a TWA while someone else might have started with SL. Plus you have to incorporate setbacks, BC's, etc. For example, I'm at least 1 to 1.5 inches past APL but I don't expect to reach BSL till the end of this year and full BSL till about a year from now. You on the other hand will probably get to BSL before me.
 
Great! This is a good goal for us all to reach for whether we surpass it, make it or not quite reach it. We're all in this together!
 
ok and I see that I had a recent surge of people checking out my profile. I need to update it. I'm no longer natural and maybe possibly transitioning. And I promise promise promise to renew my subscription to fotki sometime this week!! :yep:

It was a combination of a lot of things. I was VERY sick during the time my hair started falling out, and I was experimenting with a lot of products to DC with. I just think the illness posed a huge level of stress on the body, and my hair was not wanting to be messed with at that time. But I was not paying attention to what was going on with me wholistically; I was just trying to grow this hair, and in the end... I BC'd.

It's all good, but I really wish I would have paid closer attention to my ENTIRE body.

I have a doctor's appointment on Friday to find out what my blood results show. My doctor thinks that I have an overactive thyroid, but who knows...

LESSON LEARNED: don't lose sight of what's really important - THE ENTIRE "YOU!"

I'm innn! I'm wanting to say by Spring of 2010. I'll make APL this year, I'm not too far off. It may be a little sooner, but I have had some setbacks with hair pulling, and breakage.
 
I no longer wear my hair straight and have no idea how long it is. I have had two trims since i took my siggy picture. I am kinda scared that my hair will be no where close to where I want it to be. sigh.....

Well whether I like it or not, I will relax and straighten my hair in June, I just want to be BSL by August, maybe December

LOL!! I wish! lol. No that pic is from like 2-3 years ago! I actually joined in 2006 and haven't changed my avatar or profile not once since then. I know I know I need to update...
 
I think most of the members on here are above BSL. Am I right? Only a few are BSL and longer.
 
I just found out today that I'm 1 inch to BSL. All of this time I thought I was right at APL, then today I read someone saying that you should measure at bottom of your shoulder blade. Evidently my bras are too low. LOL
 
Hmmm.... this sounds like a nice goal. I will definitely be in on this one I am in micros right now, so I really can't tell you what my exact length is, but I am just grazing shoulder length. I cut a lot off in February into a bob, and it's growing out.
