I just got a fresh set on kinky twist done yesterday. I really didn't want to, but my hair couldn't take anymore. I'm not sure what on God's green earth I was doing wrong, but it seems like I go through this never-ending cycle: kinky twist for about a year -> relaxer -> healthy full hair -> a few months later, broken unhealthy hair! -> kinky twist for a year...

I buy the best products, "baby" my tresses, and still, the same result. I'm determined to find out what in the hell I'm doing wrong Anyway, I'll be browsing just because I heart the topic, but I'm forced to take a break.

Do you think about possibly going natural? From your timeline, it seems that your hair is fine and growing up until the point you get a relaxer. Some people's hair just can't take the chemicals no matter how they treat their hair. Good luck with your hair journey.

yep i know what your feeling hugs thats why i can only wear my year relaxed 5 months out of the year.dont know if its worth it? i call it stretching but who am i kidding.my hair is too thin to bun so i have to do braids in the winter. but i keep trying hopeing it pays off.if there is no change i may go back to napptural lol. i will see next year BUT GOOD LOOK AND KEEP IT GROWING

Awwww....maybe u might need to go Natural for a while and see if that would be better for u......I like my creamy crack too, but if I was having problems with my relaxer I would try and go natural.....who knows it might be better for you......but come back.....and inform us on what you decide to do........Good Luck.....

Ladies! Thanks so much for your input I've actually done it ALL before. Been natural and wore my hair straightened, and just wore my natural texture as is. I loved it but I became impatient with it. IDK, it'll come to me soon. ITA, though. I don't think my hair like relaxers Which sucks because I am so in :heart2: with feathered wraps
