The one at 3:11 made me gasp out loud.

I think that those before pictures reflect the norm of what's going on on most heads. That's why most of the time I scratch my head at the "why people think my hair is a weave" threads.

What the hell is going on at 6:56? I hope she didn't pay a lot for that wig.

All that aside, the stylist is talented and I like that not everybody had the same style when they left her chair.

In all reality most stylist (Not All!) are not concerned with Your hairs health, just with the appearance of.

WOW It seems like she has suffered a lot of damage from tight braids and glue in weaves.

That one made me touch my own edges!
Some of them were nice. I've never had a full sewn in and I've always wanted to try one. Some of them were believable.

i think the before and after looks effed up.

I totally agree...All of those weaves were a hot a$$ mess...I couldn't even get through the whole video, but from what i've seen, all of the women had damage beyond repair hair unless they cut it off and start again.

Hmmm...Interesting...I don't know what to say.

There are too many black women walking around **********. Each one teach one. We have got to stop relying on weaves!

ETA: The chick at 3:18 got the nerves to be ********** and get a weave down to her tummy. SMDH!

Ok...I'm done. I don't want my comments to get too out of control.

I was taken aback as well. :look: Man, I weep for my sisters.

I think the afters were "okay". They look like something one of my old homegirls could hook up at her house-- with no salon, no license. Just straight Yaki, brown protein gel, a headscarf, and a flat iron.

This is why I am SO VERY thankful I stumbled on somebody's hair forum. It could've been me cheesin' at 3:11 in the video. Lord knows it could have been me. :crying3:

I busted out laughing at this part -- it's a lacefront. She paid a heck of a lot of money to look like that.

The afters are all an improvement on the befores. But lord, some of these people need to BC, DC, and everything else. My scalp actually tingled watching some of these pics.

I'm not really impressed with the afters but some of those befores

I hope the lady @ 3:11 got some good hair care tips to go along with that super long weave. I don't think I've ever seen edges like that before

everybody's hair appeared to be damaged. i refuse to go out like that. this is why i make it my business to take care of my hair and not give up and rely on weaves. weaves are ok for protective styling, but shouldn't be used as a crutch.

Most of the before photos are scary. It is very sad that the stylist featured would not get the hair healthy first.

wow that video really saddened me! I wish that more black women educated themselves on how to take care of their own hair but some women think "that is just the way our hair is so we have to accept it and get a weave" I get really sad when i see so many black women thinking that they can't live without a weave and are so dependent on them...I was there until I started educating myself. We have to spread the word about healthy hair care ladies :-)

flava flav style "wooooowwwwwwww". It's not funny but i literally jumped back on 3:11, I wasn't prepared :lachen:. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it

Wow this was painful to watch for me, I am a former weave wearer that looked EXACTLY like some of the before pictures.

The girl pictured at 3:11 hurt my heart the most.......sweetie you can't walk around with 3lbs of yaki weave on your hair and not expect some type of scalp damage. The weight of all that hair is not doing anything but stressing your follicles. Real talk- it is a vicious cycle, your real hair looks horrible, you keep on weaving it up, somehow thinking your real hair will improve itself- but it doesn't.

If she would start taking care of her hair I am sure it would respond and flourish. She needs an intervention STAT.

me too @ 3:11

and the one right before that.. Dang, LOL

the weaves looked good though ..

You know, it's not even the weave that I hate, it's the relying on weave to have something on your head. Also, why not make the weave believable so that people don't immediately know it's a weave? There was a chin length bob that was really cute, but then you have some of them with WL weaves. STOPIT!

I'm sure some of you would have said the same things about my hair when I first started my journey. It was one inch long on all sides with bald spots galore. If you look in my siggy, the first pic is my progress after wearing weaves and taking care of the hair underneath for one year.

NOw take a look at the other pics in my siggy. Weaves have helped me tremendously and helps me retain all my length.

That video took me back to my bald days LOL

hmmmm...they were okay..some of the foundations weren't very flat, which made the ultimate difference to me. The ones that left hair out looked better. She would definitely need to change up her braiding techniques to suit each person's head. Not saying she didn't but the bulkiness of some of them made them look like bad wigs.
