Ok…So here’s my first real post. I have hair a little longer than APL. I’m tired of it. All I know how to do is to use Curlformers, so when it’s not curly, or blown out by the Dominicans, it’s bunned and stringy. I think the Dominican lady overprocessed my hair when I got a relaxer in January. Therefore, I’ve made an appointment to get a CUT. The thing is, I know I want it cut but I don’t know what style to get. I ‘m stuck between the three posted below. What do you guys think about the choices. My question is for those who have very short hair. How do you maintain it, and is stretching possible? What Products do you use? I am excited for the change, and not afraid of short hair. I had a short bob about 2 years ago, so I know I’ll be able to grow it back when I feel like it.

I love long hair so i dont know how i feel about you cutting it....lol but if you are choosing one of those choices, im sure it will look fly!

I had the first cut about 4 months ago ( it has since grown out) but it is a very flattering cut.... The only issue is that in order for it too look hot, you will have to put a lot of heat in it and make sure that you pin curl or wrap every night.... otherwise you will find yourself putting heat in your hair everyday.

Short hair is no joke, its not as carefree a style as some would think...

I'd love to see how it turns out!!

i think you should get the first cut.
why? because almost anyone can pull it off. a cut like the third one is cute but if you dont know how to keep it up then its a waste. and when you want to grow it out the first one wont be so hard to do.

I gotta agree with chebaby; I'm no expert but it seems like it can be universally flattering and perhaps easy to maintain...if not that, then the 2nd one, though that may or may not work depending on one's face shape??? Like I said, Im no expert here!

I've had the first and third cut. The third one is very hard to maintain. you will constantly have to use heat. Your hair will always have to be done, or else it will look a mess. If you get the back shaped(I did) you will be in the salon every week to keep the back looking neat. It's a very cute style but hard to keep up with. The first one was fun. I had my back shaped, so thats the only part that sucked. I had hair growing in the next day. Good luck.I say go with number two.

I got the first cut in October 2005 and it was fierce. I also go the back layered and it grew out beautifully.

I wish I had the "problems" of APL hair but I'd go with the first picture. I like the way that looks. I don't like blunt cut bangs so the second one would be a no-go and the third would be hard to maintain.

I  the second one...Nicole Richie. Very practical (for ponytails and buns) yet still stylish (great angles and bangs). The other two are very short and require a lot more maintenance and will probably be hard to stretch with.
Here's a shorter version:

How different is this from the first cut? This is so not my forte but I was thinking that the first cut would be good coz it would grow into the second (No? :look:), plus I think they'd be easier to deal with on a daily basis and to style for a special occasion.
