My hair..."straight"

Went to the Dominican's
Got a wash, conditioner, blow out, with a touch of curling iron.
I brought my own heat protectant.
She used it well.
Got it wrapped and kept wrap in for about 2hrs.
Took it down...and it was puffy LOL
Wore it out for rest of day (about 4 hrs)

I pray that my curl pattern will return once i wash.

Here are some pics. Some of my hair the day before I got it done and the remainder from the blowout.

These pics were taken around hour 2 of having it out so....LOL

NExt time (dunno when) I'm gonna get flat iron.


ETA: i cowashed it out...lol... pic on page 2...curls are back..thank GOD!!!

When I go it get it blown out and flat ironed. That way it gets straight and stays that way for up to two weeks.

Thanks. But honestly, my hair didn't last that long when I had a relaxer...so as a natural....

I sweat in my head a lot so the longest I can go is like 1 day..seriously. Maybe 2 in the winter

Oh and the dominican salon i go to does not use flat irons.

Are you APL? Lovely hair and it had awesome body puffed out. I learned to accept the single strand knots or i'll get even more grey hairs fretting about the many that keep popping up. Your ends look nice too.

Thanks. Well when i first took the wrap down it looked like i hit APL. The full back pic sort of looks like it is, but its puffy. I'm not claiming it yet though

Okay, I co washed.

First I put ALMA oil in for like 20 min.
Then I Cowashed with Aphogee 2 min reconstructor
I left that in for ten min
I washed it out, put it a lil cheapie conditioner, then washed...

Here is the end result........

YEah!!!! Curls are back. I guess the IC heat protectant really worked

Those idiots!!! LOL. Yeah they did. Goodness, my aunt was all over me. Telling me " Why didn't you leave it wrapped? It would last longer."

I was like "I'm not trying to have it straight. I don't care. Its about to get washed tomorrow".

We had the same conversation a day later, so I just co-washed it last night so there will be no more comments about me keeping it wrapped"

Oh and peep this. I'm at the salon (it ended up being a family thing...me, my mom, my aunt (moms sister) and cuz (aunt's daughter). So while the lady is blowing my hair my aunt walks over and says to her, well I can't remember the exact phrase, but it was something like "look at that (tumble weed) "...when she smiles. Mind you the lady was being polite, even though i heard a few comments in spanish b4 she washed it. But I felt that comment was giving the lady amo.


My aunt sees me with my hair...and asks me "so you not perming no more?" OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Is she slow?!! LIke seriously!!!! Has she not seen me NOT get a relaxer for the past 23 months!!! WTF!!!!

I just looked at her with the dumbest face I could think of.

She will never get it. I have to give her some credit though, she likes my "styles" but she still has those comments. I don't give a F!!!!
