Would be gentle, do an s & d trim for me, detangle starting at the ends, blow dry my hair like i was a 5 year old that would cry if they werent gentle, be affordable and convenient........
 
Stylist who owned a successful salon that majored in doing natural black hair. I would love for just once someone else to wash my hair and detangled it without the pain and and a glob of hair winding up in a fine tooth comb. YIKES!!!

I miss being in the sink and letting someone massage my scalp while washing and conditioning my hair. Aaahhhh the memories.
 
RESPECT MY TIME! Get me in the chair on time, focus only on me, and get me out of there in a reasonable amount of time.

BTW, that goes for doctors and dentists too.

I wish I could find a stylist that DIDN'T SAY A WORD! Nothing, zero, zilch, nada unless it concerned my hair......and didn't do a gajillion heads at the same time. I shouldn't have to take out half the day to do my hair! and can we not for the love of God watch Maury.....pleasssseeeee.
 
Fantasy shop.... Natural hair care specialists. You drop in after work. A line of girls ready to shampoo, massage scalp, condition, and detangle hair is waiting. No hair lost, no pulling, no damage of hair. Then deep conditioning under the hood dryers for a few minutes. Then you go to a line of stylists, tell them what natural style you want, and voila they all can do everything, quickly and efficiently. Time taken 1.5 hours in and out. Costs for everything 75 to 125 per session. If only coming in for a quick wash, detangle and condition $25. These places would be like macdonalds, efficient, consistent, and reproducible. They would be everywhere and open very early and very late. I wounder if I could get some stimulus money to set up my fantasy shop and then franchise out. I would spend my money reqularly if this existed. Jeve
 
My fantasy salon would have Clients that show up on time, be prepared to listen to the stylist, pay for the services, and not bring their child, talk on the phone keeping the stylist from doing their hair. I'm sorry but you have to remember the stylist has to make a living ...

And don't forget, call when they have to cancel or reschedule their appointment or just can't make it in general.:yep:

Listening to the stylist has never worked out well for me.
 
I wish I could find a stylist that would do a wash and twist out without freaking out about my hair texture/density and cost under 60 dollars.:yep:
 
My perfect stylist would:
1)be able to give a great, current hair cut.
2)would have an up to date book of hairstyles/haircuts that she can do. (Not that book from the hairshows)
3)would trim if I asked her to (not cut)
4)would rinse all the relaxer out and not miss the spot behind my ears.
5)would start on time and would be done in 2 hours
6)wouldn't get my back soaking wet washing my hair
7)would be pleasant and not act put out because I want to grow my hair.
 
- Didnt want to trim my hair all the time
- Started working on my hair at my appointment time not 30 minutes later
- Combed my hair gently and not rough like
- DID WHAT I ASKED THEM TO DO
 
I wish I could find a stylist that understood that just because my hair is thick in volume does NOT mean it is thick in texture as well.
