I'm so on the fence. I've had my Fotki locked and haven't updated since early November and I don't know if I want to go ahead and just upgrade or move all my pics elsewhere. Decisions, decisions...I can't be mad @ them though for trying to get their money.

Yep, I agree. I've never asked for anyone's password. I do understand why some lock them b/c some moron doesn't have sense to look but don't touch or says something stupid. But its annoying to me and I'm not begging to see anyone's hair. For everyone that locks their album, there's 2 more that don't and can help me just as much!

I'm not surprised though. With the number of photos that people take and upload on a daily basis, someone had to be paying for all that bandwidth...so Christmas couldn't last forever. I know I've uploaded 300 pics in one sitting, and I don't even take pics as much as a lot of people.

I agree with Jet I never have asked for someone's password. If I click and it's locked then oh well I just keep it moving. I rarely even go into people's profile just to find their password. I kinda understand why they do it but if your giving out your password then there is still a chance of someone stealing pics,etc.

I just got this idea - considering all the changes and restrictions being introduced on fotki.

A Hair/Beauty "specific" Photo hosting website just for US? I'll be happy to volunteer to start working on something if any of us are interested in such a project.

What specific features would be nice to have on there if we were to build such a site? Please share your thoughts.

Seeing that it will be a way smaller community, I'm thinking we will have fewer stalker issues. I know Privacy has always been one of the Biggies for most of us.
