Lookin' good Auburn!!!...I wonder if this can be used on relaxed hair that is rollerset after the initial process...

Thanks for sharing this Auburn. Please post pics of your wet hair. I am really interested in trying this but I mostly want to wear my hair curly.

I wear my hair curly most of the time as well, which is why I am excited to see the wet hair results. I guess this product could also work very well in the summer, which is when reversion would be at its best, at least for me.

Do you mean putting on the treatment then rollersetting your hair instead of doing a blow out? I thought of doing that. The relaxed part? Im not sure.

Girl you are just cute!! Hrumph... 9 months natural and your hair has grown 10 inches...how you do that :scratchch ?

You and your hair are beautiful !! Just lovely! I'm getting some of that stuff !!

ETA: This is the incentive I needed to straighten my hair and do a length check.

:bighug: :thankyou: Ms. Auburn!

Thanks!
Ive been doing MSM & this since June or July of last year and my texture is completely different from the ends of my hair. Its so much silkier. I cant wait to reach APL or BSL so I can start cutting off the crappier part.
I hope to get to APL by my 1 year anniversary & BSL by my November anniversary. Im dreaming big but I want to make it hapn!

How much MSM are you using, I have been using it too since around that time but I'm not sure I'm using enough. My hair is really healthy and the curls are so strong so I think the MSM is helping me along too! Your progress is amazing, you are encouraging to me!!!

I saw your hair when you did the BC, you have made great progress! I wouldn't say your goals are out of reach at all!! Keep doing what you are doing and you will either get there or pretty darn close!

I'm going to get the kit towards the end of the month and straighten my hair, I'm motivated now. This sounds like just the type of product I have been hoping for.

How many trims have you had since your BC? I'm due for one, I need to straighten and go get a trim. I some bad ends simply because that hair was not as healthy as the hair I am growing now due to the change in my diet and supplements.

I am texturized and do not want my hair too much looser because I might not be able to do WNGs. Is your hair only easier to straighten, meaning less heat used to straighten or is it straighter after doing the treatment? Waiting for your answer about MSM also. By the way what brand do you use?

I was thinking of trying LK or Diva Smooth both give the option of staying natural, I think LK may provide longer lasting resullts..be still undecided

what do u guys think?

Ive been taking between 2 & 4 grams of MSM. Lately it has been 4g consistently. Why 4? I dont know. Thank you for the compliments. Im blushing over here!

It would be awesome to reach my goals this year. Im trying to drink more water also. moegro should help me see this dream come true along with protective styling.

I got SO many compliments from my brother today & he said my hair looks much healthier & shinier. I have enough treatment for at least one more treatment..possibly two or more!

I have not gotten a trim since. The only thing ive done was clip some relaxed ends. I really want to get to APL or BSL before I start evening things out. I might like how it grows* out so...idk. I'll dust before I trim.

While doing the first part of this treatment, my hair was pretty normal except stronger and softer. I did a "blow out" and flat ironed as usual but I put my FHI on 450. They recommend high heat to help the treatment penetrate. The treatment has a heat protecting ingredient in it. Tomorrow (2nd part of treatment), I will be able to see if my hair is straighter or less frizzy..or both.

Do you mean from the question Atlantajj asked? I use Doctor's Best from vitamin shoppe.

I looked at Diva Smooth. I dont understand how it works but then again...I only glanced at it. I hope my final review helps you with your decision :yep:

Ok thanks, sorry for all the questions. Someone recommended Source Naturals MSM and I couldnt find it so I bought the NOW brand. I will look for the Doctor's Best.

I will wait for the update. Thanks for the pics.

I wonder if you can use Ayurvedic products after using this? I am trying to stick to one thing for at least 3 months. So maybe I'll try this in May.

HHG

I dont mind hun! I once bought another brand of MSM. I did the dissolve test & it failed so I took that crap back & stuck with what I know best.
Since Ayurvedic products are natural, I dont see a harm in using it. jmo though.

Is this the second day yet? LOL I'm ready to hear about part two. I'm reading the CurlTalk posts, and just glancing it looks like some of the folks didn't follow instructions, they didn't use the heat, etc....

Yes mam! Im about to eat dinner then wash my hair. Im excited!

Verdict

Looser curls? yes
Straight hair? no
Frizz? yes
more manageable? yes
Stronger hair? yes
Hair on a rainy day? still straight

Pictures coming soon.

The conditioner and leave in are the BOMB! They are expensive but I can definitely see me buying those two again. I'd only buy the treatment if I feel like I need a boost of strength. I have more treatment left over. I would probably do this once or twice a year to maintain the health of my hair.

^^Interesting. I did this on my sister, and there was no difference at all in her curls. She was very disappointed. I'm glad you liked it! :)

I missed this update somehow. I am glad it worked out for you because there were a lot of mixed reviews on the curly site.

How are things going with your hair Auburn?

So when you washed the next day it was just like you had only done a protein treatment or something? Did you still have to use as much heat as normal to get straight hair?

Sounds like this is just SMB if you are answers are yes. Please post pics.

i think i'm going to try this next month. I have a big patch of frizzy ughness in my crown that looks horrible when I do wng's. I'm hoping this treatment used solely on that patch will help with the frizziness.

My hair looks texlaxed. SO easy to detangle and my curls definitely hang longer. I'll post pictures soon.

My top is frizzy & wavy. It didnt help that part. I will still do another treatment in the future.

Sorry for my laziness but I finally uploaded the pictures. You will NOT get straight hair as a type 4 lady. You will get more elongated curls. In my case, I got a more 3c wavy texture all over. My hair is definitely more manageable.

* the black spot under my eye is my mascara.
