Ok... The first thing, I just started doing this and I'm a little unsure if I'm doing it right, I haven't seen pics of it or a video... Does anyone have any pics or a video to share on this? Everytime I search for 2-sided wrap I'm not finding much...

Second... My ends look somewhat "flipped" when I take it down... It actually looks rather cute and stylish... It's even less stressful on the hair than wrapping the regular way so I will never wrap the other way again, 2-sided wrap all the way for me:grin: Does this happen to anyone else? If so, I guess I'm doing it right.:drunk:

:lachen:2 Sided wrap REPRESENT:lachen:

Maybe you are talking about the "cross-wrap" method? That's what everybody calls it. I haven't tried it but I might.

OMG no wonder I couldn't find anything on a 2-sided wrap lol... I typed in cross-wrap and BAM... There was what I was looking for lol.

Aww man my hair is wayy too short to do this :( I guess I will have to wait until I grow this haircut out

Not really. My hair is short too and I do this on the regular. My clips end up right behind my ear as opposed to on the front of the head like the girl in the tutorial. You can make it work, just experiment.

what's the benefit of doing this instead of a regular wrap? Is it easier? Does it come out nicer? Or is it less stressful on your hair?

I'm gonna try this. Thanks for posting.
This is stated in the link provided:
Advantages to Cross-Wrapping Hair

So what are the advantages to a cross-wrap over a regular wrap or doobie?
  • There is not as much stress on the hair because you do not have to comb or brush it around and around.
  • There is no stress on the hairline or edges. Many people begin to experience thinness when they wrap their hair continuously with the traditional method.
  • It's easier. Some people have a lot of difficulties in wrapping their hair and just can't seem to get it quite right. Additionally, it is more difficult to wrap hair the longer it is. With a cross-wrap, it works really well with longer hair.

Yes it's easier for me, and definetly less stressful... It comes out nice enough for me to keep doing it... And since it's less manipulation, that makes it a great way to keep the straight/bumped look.

Also, you don't end up with one side of your hair facing back and one side facing forward. They both have a bend facing in the proper direction.

Looks super easy, only do you sleep with the clips?? YIKES

Heck no! I place my clips low to the hair line. Then I tie my scarf around my head and slide the clips right on out.
