Shocked, although I should not have been, when she cleaned out the BSS

I went to Beauty of New York (aka Hair Town) at 470 Rockaway today to pick up some wig clips and to take a look at the new freetress Equal lace front wigs. There was a woman at the wig area with her list and she was buying a stack of wigs for her personal use. She and her mom were picking out hair.

She bought every last Bali Girl they had left in color #4. I have heard of people buying an extra wig in a style they like just in case it's discontinued....but for some reason seeing this young White woman buying a huge bag full of wigs shocked me. It really should have been the norm since I went to a Jewish grad school where 80% of the Jewish women wore wigs, but I'd never seen a purchase take place....not to say that this young woman was Jewish because she and her mom had features that made me think they are Italian.

It's funny to me now because I took my list to Wigs Plus on Friday when I bought my new hair.:lachen:

Nice style Bali girl, kind of old style Farah Fawcett. Was the tall wig sales lady nice to them?

Yeah, I have Bali Girl too. The woman seemed to be wearing Bali Girl when she came in to buy more of them.

Yes, the sales woman was really nice to all of us. They came in with a list of at least 5 styles. I've never seen her be rude to anyone though. And yeah, she is REALLY tall, like my MIL who was about 6'2".

Good. I've never seen her nasty but a bit impatient when too many people make demands of her. Just read your new wig buying thread...adventures for you!

I'm glad that I didn't have to snap today. I didn't go to BONY today though. I stayed closer to home and went to Fulton Mall instead.
