I'm sure folks will chime in. All I can say get your stretch on girl! That's amazing!

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get a blow out? You do want them to roll it first and then just blow it out with the flat iron right? What they will probably tell you or try to encourage you to do it to just let them go on and blow dry it and then flat iron it b/c normally with a blow out you are blowing out the wavy roots. If you have 30 months of NG, that's a LOTTTT of roots!

There was lady that I found about 6 or 7 months into my transition she was really good at rollersetting my hair on big magnetic rollers in such small sections that when she was done, my entire length was completely straight and there was no need for a flat iron. (the secret is that the smaller the section it is, the more taut you can pull it and it only took all my hair 45 minutes to dry)......Well I went to her about my 11th month and she told me I had so much NG that it would just make sense to blow dry and flat iron the entire thing......

Do you still have relaxed ends?

I was asking if it was safe to do a weekly dominican blow out. I need a break from doing my hair myself for a month. (I'm stretching) and If anyone does that with success.

I deleted the post..

Im just gonna do what I was doing before.

I just want enjoy my hair for a bit, even if I'm stretching.

Thank you for the reply. I agree with you but was wondering if it's safe on a weekly basis. My stylist ( go to her 3 times a year) said not to flat Iron my hair I'm burning my hair if I do. She blows it she uses a heat protectant. Im thinking of giving Dominican Essence a try. It got great reviews on the salon review section.
