how to make the hair shine

Serums work well for giving the hair shine without the oil build up. I personally alternate between serum and vatika coconut oil as it gives the hair major shine without the buildup.

The hair shines when the cuticles lie flat, so I think the most important component to shiney hair is healthy, well conditioned hair. Adding a smidge of a light oil makes for super shiney hair - some oils are lighter than others, so you can use a bit, get the shine you want and not have the oil slick you don't want. I use camellia oil - it's extremely light, and a few drops will do the trick.

ITA. Great answer. I've never heard of camellia oil. What is it and where do you get it?

healthy hair is the best way to get the best shine. also keep in mind that your max health shine may not be shine at all but a healthy sheen

Add oils to ever DC, over time your hair will shine without serums and sheen sprays.

Yup honey helps to, I also think the healthier your hair becomes it will have a shine of it's own.

I agree with these two points.

ITA!

I also add a serum to my leave in when my hair is wet. When my hair dries, it's not weighed down, but soft, shiny, and detangles with the quickness. I use Fantasia IC Shine Polisher which is pretty much cones in a bottle, but I clarify occasionally and have no issues with it.
