Don't kill me ladies! But why is Sasha and Mahlia's hair not longer than apl?

They are the cutest little girls and I love them to death but when they get their hair straightened I am just shocked. With top stylists available to them how come their hair isn't longer? Most of us on the boards at that age can all vouch for longer tresses and we had kitchen beauticians ( our moms) doing our hair.

Maybe we need Michelle to become a member of LHCF. We can then advise her to start weekly deep conditioning on the girls and more moisture/ protective styles.

It's possible that they like their length. (?) Length isn't always important to everyone.

I know a lot of people are rolling their eyes at this thread, but IMO we should be able to discuss things on any day of the year. Even if you don't really see the point of the thread.
 
wow.

maybe their mother prefers their hair at a particular length. not everyone needs to or strives to have hair down to who knows where. just because you can grow it doesn't mean you have to!

and who's business is it? not ours.

I don't know what their regimen is but it doesn't look scraggly....It can stay that length if they want it to, I'm just thanking GOD that the President's kids don't have scraggly hair...and hopeful they will continue looking nice while in DC LOL
 
They have only had the top stylists available to them recently. Their hair looks healthy and I'm sure it will continue to grow. They are just little girls and everyone don't have long long hair as kids.

Yes we are because I think the Obama's had a lot of other stuff to tend to besides HAIR!!!!

What is wrong with their length? Their hair is always nice and pretty to me.

My thoughts exactly. No offense to whoever *Q* is, but I'm sure Michelle had a lot more important things on her plate than to study hair tips on LHCF all day. ~sidenote~ Their hair is beautiful and healthy.
 
Don't the Obamas have more important things going in their life right now. Sasha and Mahlia is trying to make new friends at new school, sick tired of the secret service, tired of moving again but this time in the White House, trying to spend as much time with daddy, tired of the media, and waiting for their new puppy. For some reason, I think growing hair out longer than apl isnt on their list on things to do.
 
ummm not trying to be rude or anything but whats ur def of short? I saw pics of the girls with straight hair and with it natural and they both have long hair IMO. And its beautiful it looks at least APL to me. And fro the article I read thier mother enjoys styling thier hair in cornrows and other protective styles.
 
Their hair is beautiful! It may not be apl, but you have to admit their hair is alot longer and healthier than alot of young black girls their age. Alot of women on the board are in their 20's and 30's and admitting their hair has never touched their shoulders, so i give Michelle props for maintaining their hair at that length, and keeping it so healthy.

Furthermore,

Mahlia's hair looks to be longer then my SL hair so how dare I even go there??? :lachen: :rolleyes:
