Ok so I found a moisturizer I was really loving (Silk Elements Revive and Restore) and even though I had a full bottle of my regular moisturizer I bought the new one and quit using the old one. I got ready to attempt to a do roller wrap set so my hair can be cute for church and she was so dry. I put the moisturizer in and she was not having it. She curled her lip up at me and seemed to get even dryer. Now I have been using this new moisturizer for about a month to a month and a half and she has been loving it.
Recently I had to co wash 3 times in one week because she came out dry even after using my regular products. I bought a sample of this moisturizing treatment. The big jar is like $25 for 8oz jar. She acts like she just can not make it if I don't use the stuff. She's to good for the Silk Elements conditioner now. Don't she know I lost my job and I can't be buying her stuff all the time?:nono:
The ORS Pak and a mixture of the moisturizing treatment set her right. I had to dig through my old products in the back of the cabinet. Get the tried and true Elasta QP Moisturizer and H20 leave in and get to work section by section. She doing alright today and I'm really happy with her, but should I even try to use the other moisturizer? I think it's really good on wet hair. Also I usually do Aphogee 2 minute every week. I was wondering do you think this could be protein overload and causing the dryness? I've been using it weekly for about 3 months. Would it take that long for an adverse reaction? Just when I think I got her under control she shows out again.

cracking up. :lachen: At you referring to your hair as "she". It took me a minute to catch on..I was like who is she talkin about? LOL....

sorry i dont have any advice.

I heard of product overload and that some women feel they must clarify once a week or every two weeks and start over to get their hair to feel da love.

Have you clarified recently? Plus apple cider vinegar rinses might be a good idea too. I don't suggest both at the same time though. She might be feeling worked over with the products like layer and layer of product so the moisture is not getting to the hair.

TQ

Girl "She" got a mind of her own.:ohwell::lachen:You know like those kids that mostly behave, but then when they do act out it's at the worst possible place, in the worst possible moment, and no amount of eye cutting will make them straighten up?

I used ORS Aloe Shampoo this week. I think it may be a clarifier, but I don't know. Usually I don't use shampoo every week I just co wash, but I had the stupid ideal to shampoo every week and my scalp was dried out. Then I remembered from the first days of my journey I used Queen Helene Cholestrol and loved it. Girl I tried that stuff again she was like:rolleyes::sad: what was that suppose to do? I hear about AVC rinses, but I have been scared of them.

OH! I see. NO you don't need to clarify you need to stop that clarifing shampoo for a lil bit maybe two weeks. Go back to your cowashing and you found out that Queen Helene is not your friend. That mineral can mess up hair not always but it can if the build up is there.

TQ
