I'm going to be around those parts tomorrow. I don't want to go too much out of my way though.

I'm on a powder kick  I have like 6 boxes of powders and henna in my fridge right now... and I want more!! :spinning:

Since I'm going to be in the city, I'd like to save on shipping. Do you know of any Indian stores around that area or walking distance?

Um I remember in that Himani Gold makeup forum thread (just looked through it) I found an Indian store. It's a good 10-15 minute walk from Penn Station. Not sure if this particular store is still around but there should be others in the area. Perhaps they have what you are looking for:

I'm WAY too lazy to walk that far, but it's just a short bus ride there. Hmmm... if no one knows of anything closer, I'll probably check it out. Thanks!

Hi Neith, it's best to go with Phony' suggestion. The area of the store she recommended is known as Curry Hill so that's where the bulk of the Indian stores are situated. Since you're in the Penn Station area you can take the crosstown bus on 34th street to Lexington Ave and either walk down a few blocks (the stores begin at around 29th) or ride the M102/ 103 bus a few blocks down Lexington.

It's official I love this store... I went there today because I was going down that way to hit Babies R us, so I figured I would just stop in and take a look.... Well needless to say I didn't just look lol... I ended up with a bottle of rose water that smells to die for and some coconut oil which all cost me less then $7...

Considering I spent $90 on products in the BSS in one shot last week I didn't tell my BF that I purchased anything else for my hair.
