This was my first time twisting my hair. I dont have thick hair and my hair is so fine. I wish it was fuller. Hopefully I will get better. I have been natural now for three months now. Tell me what you think?

i am going to wear them for a week and then twist out. I think my hair is just to thin for this style. However, I will try them again. I am kind of discouraged. They took my three hours. So I guess I am stuck with them for a week cause I am not taking them down now. I am tired

They still look very nice. I know how you feel about having fine hair. We can't do some of the styles that other women with thicker hair can do. :(

Maybe when you get a few more inches you can do another set of twists and then pull them back to a nice bun. That's what I'm waiting for!:lachen:

Or you could put them in a french roll or up-do style.

Your hair is gorgeous. I have to learn how to part my hair neater to get my look just right. I am determined to keep practicing though.

I think they look great! I have hair on the finer side as well, but I love wear twist and twist updos. shortdub78 took the words right out of my mouth, definitely do them smaller if you want a fuller look.
I also think it's cute the way you pulled the side back in one of the pics.

I think it looks nice! Maybe do styles with it so it won't seem thin to you, a nice french twist of twists perhaps?

Either way, your hair is beautiful!

Awww, hugs, Rsmith, they're beautiful! I know how you feel, though. The first time I did my twists they looked just like yours. You have really soft, kinda fine hair, too? Well, the second time my twists were something I truly loved when I made them really small. I didn't take pics, but I proudly wore them for about 2 weeks. I was worried about possible tangling but didn't have any. It was great.

And, at your current size, the twist out will be to die for. Really beautiful.

thanks ladies for the compliments and the advice. I will definitely try making them smaller and trying different styles. I cant wait until my hair is longer

I think I've read on here or Nappturality if you spray the twists with water or other conditioning spray and let them dry they will fatten up but they will shrink some too. They will probably look even better as the week goes by.

Don't get discouraged. Your twists look great! I felt like I could not wear twists too. My hair use to be dense and thick but I am loosing my hair and both parents have bald spots! argh! So, that is why I quite perming. However, I discovered that If i do my twists on stretched hair it looks very thin and see through. Now, I will do then damp or on shrunken hair. 3 strand helps to keep it compact for me but since you are starting out 3 strand twist may be a little much but it can give you something to look forward too.

Thanks for sharing your photos. I just did some twists this week end and they are in my fotiki. my signature is not showing you would have to click on my name, then about me, and my link is there.

It looks great! You have to take into consideration the fact that you have just started you natural hair journey and that you haven't seen you full thickness yet. When all of your hair is natural, it'll be nice and full.
Also, your hair will look fuller within the next couple of days as your hair starts to frizz a little. Good luck on your journey!

Thanks ladies for all of your support. Today my hair has strunk like 50%. All I can say is wow. Got to love the strinkage.
