Sabino Moisture Block Question?

I've read a lot of great things about this product, but I'm wondering how is it any different from any other cone containing serum? I have Biosilk, Chi, and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, and they all seem to have pretty much the same cone ingredients and do pretty much the same thing.

From what I've read (can't recall where now) Sabino has only 2 cones in it. Are these all the ingredients? What makes it better than any other serum then? Need to know because I was thinking of buying, but if what I have will work just as well, then I'll save my money and get some more Hairveda....lol

Girl if you tried Paul Mitchell, Chi Silk Infusion, and the other ones, you are not missing out on nothing.....I have it and used it twice and I don't see a difference, I have Chi and I (in a strange way) like that better than Sabino, girl save your money for something else......JMO.

Thanx! I had a feeling it may be similar. Almost whipped out my credit card too, but something stopped me. Although all my serums are pretty much the same, I think I'll give a slight edge to Chi too. Guess I'll just keep on using it .

I have never used any of the serums that you mentioned, but I have used Fantasia IC heat protectant and I got the same results with the Sabino that I got with the Fantasia. I noticed no differences.

Yes - there are only 2 cones... and each silicone is graded differently...so that is something to keep in mind.

All I can say to you is that I have tried MANY MANY serums in the last 20 years.

NOTHING beats Sabino.

My hair however, is currently mostly bone straight and roots are texlaxed (working on growing out bone straight hair), but it seems that if my hair doesn't normally really revert or get puffy then I'm not sure what I would need Sabino for?

I mainly use serums as a heat protectant and glosser. Seems like if I were natural and straightening my hair it would maybe be a product I would need more? Is this right?

Yeah, you're right....if you don't have a reversion problem you probably wouldn't have much use for it unless you use it to lock in moisture which some use it for.

There's a big difference. Sabino actually does what it claims and you barely have to use any at all to keep your hair straight.

Could it be that Sabino works so well because it only contains two key ingredients whereas the other serums have so many other ingredients in them that they water down the effective ingredients? Sabino makes my hair feel so much nicer than when I use other serums.

Nothing I've tried beats sabino. I live in a very humid climate and it doesn't make my hair revert and my hair is natural 4ab. Its worth the money.

As I told Diane Sabino (when I asked for a refund), the product does exactly what it says... it blocks out moisture. I'm currently relaxed, although I'm transitioning, and found that I couldn't get my twice daily moisturizing after using the moisture block. I needed to feel my shea butters and coconut oils so I returned it.

I figure that this would be something that would work better for me in the summer heat when my strands literally swell up and my head looks like a q-tip, but that's when I'll experiment with the other serums on beauty supply shelves like Skinny, Biosilk and Chi. But... that's just me.

Having tried several serums, i notice a difference. I also use serums on my curly hair now and so far Sabino is the best for all the purposes i'm using it for. Fantasia is the 2nd best then the others fall from there (IMO).

With Sabino, moisture was definately blocked out....for 2 weeks straight. No reversion!!! till the next wash.... But, my hair felt very sticky, was hard to comb. I think I need to find a good moisturizer to use before applying Sabino.

Sabino works! I've tried the KeraCare silken seal and it didn't work the same.

I was looking at the ingredients for Silken Seal and realized it's the same as SMB but in reverse. Wouldn't it work the same? I have both and neither one can control my roots for more than 1 day so I figure they work the same...lol.

Sabino keep my 4b thick hair straight for 1 week with absolutely no reversion.

Just remember, a litttle goes a loonnngg way.

The other good thing about Sabino - is that - if you HATE it - Send it back....they will try to make you happy! Try that with some of the other stuff....You might not have the same luck.

i became a recent fan of Sabino. I've tried others includin Chi..no comparison. Sabino is great. I can def tell a difference and it will b a staple in my regimen

It does exactly what it says it will. I am a 4ab 4b natural and got caught in the rain and my hair still remained bone straight for two weeks. This will be a staple of mine.

The only thing I can suggest is not to use too much because it may weigh your hair down.
