Just send it to me! (joking) I like both of these but ORS can be to heavy if used with an heavy hand.

Elasta is water based and ORS is oil based. So I use them both depending on what I am doing with my hair. ORS is good for straight styles and I like Elasta QP better on my wet hair. Not sure if that will you out any in finding a way to use it though.

Love this stuff. :love5:

I am mad at you because I am about to google it.:wallbash: (Thanks) ;)

hehe:grin:. I'm suprized that this doesn't get much props on this site. I have to thank RavenMerlita for giving me a nice little review on it:yep:.

It comes with a comb attachment and concentrator. The comb is very nice, very sturdy! The dryer is surprizingly lite but the motor is the most powerful thing! I paid $150 for mine but now I see them on sale on ebay for $99 plus free shipping:rolleyes:. THe warranty is awesome too, if you break it just send it in along with a money order for $18 and they'll fix it.

So far. . .

Hits
Keracare Humecto Creme Conditioner. I think I'm in love.

Hawaiian Silky Lye Relaxer. I tried other relaxers, but so far, this is the one I keep coming back to because I don't get burnt.

Sponge Color/Relaxer Applicators by Goody (part of their Mosaic Collection). Used them to retouch my roots. Works better for me then brush or my fingers. And it doesn't scratch my scalp.

Misses
Regular strength relaxer. I've been scared to upgrade to Coarse, but honestly, regular just ain't cutting it. My Kinky Mega-4B just ends up underprocessed and I end up having to overlap.
Sulfur 8. My scalp still itched and the smell is really overpowering.

Not Sure
Garlic pills. I've been taking them for about a month and I'm still shedding. But that could be due to me stretching for 12 weeks.
Neutrogena T/Gel. Not sure it's helping to itching and smelling like a coal mine is a very strange experience.

Hit: Joico Moisture Recovery poo and cond!!

I used both on myself and dd and our hair was so easy to detangle and comb thru. Dd's curls were so pretty and well moisturized. I'm going back to TS to get at least 2 more of the holiday gift sets.

Hit!

Naked Naturals shampoo- its sulfate free and full of vegetable protein. It smells just like orange tic tacs and leaves my hair soft and strong.

Hit--Cowboy Magic Detangler! I used this on my mother's type 4c (kinky, dry, major shrinkage natural hair) and it made the comb glide through without much effort.

Hit:
Silken Child Moisturizer
CHI Rocket dried DD hair in 5 min. that sucker get so hot I had to use it on low and I still had to be careful not to burn her or myself, it left her hair shiney and silky.

HITS

ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo
Herbal Essences Dangerousy Straight Conditioner
Herbal Essences Hydralicious Reconditioning Conditioner
Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer as a rinse-out conditioner

MISSES
none

Go on and scratch it....I know I want to. I got it up in another window

LOL!

Im trying to figure out why the labeled it a reconsturctor if its not? Thats why I never tried this. If I had known it was a moisturizing DC all this time, I would have been hopped on that bad boy!

Continued Hits:
1. Water as my moisturizer.
2. Castor oil for styling and daily leave-in.

Hits
Keracare Humecto DC- gave my hair sooo much slip, detangled well, was amazing, this is surely a new staple
CON new formula, I tried to hate, but for real it did not dry out my hair, my hair was soft and detangled
VO5, I used to use Suave, but I really liked the VO5
Aphogee essential oils

Misses
None so far

I had the guy at the Feed store order me some. He was like, "What you going to use it for?" I said, "It's for tangles right?" :blush3:

Henna!!!!!!

Sunday marked exactly 11 months since my last henna treatment on Feb. 4 2008. It cold stopped chronic breakage that I have been worried about for the last 2 months. Nothing else I've tried has helped, but Henna to the rescue!! I had used all kinds of protein treatments and NOTHING, not even EMERGENCEE helped. Myhair was just breaking off.

My last 2 or 3 relaxer touchups have been processing too fast for me and I think it is because I have not used henna. I am happy to add the treatments back to my regimen.

ON THE FENCE:
Joico Moisture Recovery shampoo. Not sure I really care for this. It does not make my hair feel as good as Roux Porosity Control shampoo does. Glad I prety much only paid about $4.50 for it.

MISS:
Qhemet Biologics Cocoa Detangling Ghee.

Yeah, this was already a miss for me last month, but in a last ditch hope, I tried it on my son's wet and freshly conditioned 3C hair. It just does not do it for him either. I was so sure I could find some use for it with him. Oh well. I guess this concludes the Detangling Ghee experiment in my house. I wonder why it works for everyone else and not us?!?!

I normally post my hits and misses toward the end of the month, but I have four huge hits already.

Mill Creek keratin conditioner - soft strong hair
Vitamins mangosteen and yogurt conditioner - silky smooth hair, lots of slip
Bioinfusion professional the leave-in conditioner - soft, silky, detangled hair
ORS lock and twist gel - applied over leave-in; after air drying it leaves hair very soft, very touchable (and I am not a gel user, but decided to give this a try; one of the ingredients is coconut milk)

HIT:

Almost forgot to post this one. Fage Total Greek Yogurt with Honey. I put that in my henna mix and I really love it. The all natural honey cup was a great addition to the thick yogurt. Henna Sooq suggested using a full fat yogurt a while back and it was great advice. No more low fat yogurt in my henna! It made a difference. :yep:

I use one container of this, some almond oil, henna powder, amla powder, hot water and marine collagen.

STOPPED my breakage DEAD!! :yep:

Ojon Tawaka Conditioner--amazing stuff, hair felt like butta and detangled so well!
Using more protein weekly, I'm seeing BIG improvements!

Miss
Ojon Tawaka Rejuvenating Shampoo-it doesn't provide slip that I like, it was nothing spectacular but I LOVE it as a face and BODY wash so I will continue to buy for that purpose only.

I wonder too! I'm 4a/4b and it worked so well on my crazy crazy ng last night. I was really surprised. Sorry to hear this...

yeah I had high hopes. :ohwell:

Oh well. What can you do?

I think I will either give it away or use it on my hair for pre-touchup protection.

On the fence: NuNaat Keratin and Cupuacu Butter Shampoo and Hair Mask

I washed and conditioned w/this stuff then used my Jessicurl Rockin Ringlets for a WnG and talk about some serious shrinkage!!! My hair shrank to NL :ohwell: and was so thick, I couldn't get my hand in to my scalp! I don't mind the shrinkage and thickness, but my hair was thirsty afterward as well....I was just like unh unh :nono: but before I get rid of it, I'll try it again and post an update.

ETA: HIT- Kan Kanechomn Ceramids leave in!! Used last night after rinsing dc mixed w/some HV Moist 24/7 and I'm in love. I heart ceramides anyway... Thank you for my gift, LDIP !!

hit: wen fig cleansing conditioner. i already love the sweet almond mint and thought i would give the others a try so i got all five "flavas" and tried the fig. talk about amazing softness. i could see becomming overconditioned and mushy with this stuff so i will only use it 1-2x a week. if i was a dry natural this would be my best friend lol.
hit: hairveda moist condition pro. i didnt feel like there was any added protein so i was dissapointed in that because i love protein but it did make my hair sooo soft.

I just ordred some even after hearing the so-so reviews. Sorry it didn't work!

Revisited
Qhem Amla and Olive Heavy Cream and Hydrating Balm
I was redoing the front of my twists and decided to retry these two. I put a dab of the cream and more of the balm and rubbed it through out my loose hair.. Best my hair has ever felt.

I think I was misusing it because this time I applied it to dry hair. Before I always tried Qhem products on slightly damp hair. IDK but it made a difference. And I'd never mixed those two together.

But the front section of my hair my just be tricking me. I need to try it all over to see.

Hits:
Henna -stopped shedding, my hair is SHINY
Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1
Silk Elements deep conditioner, the green bottle

Misses:
Carol's Daughters Hair milk - left my hair very dirty/filmy :ohwell:

I want to try this conditioner so bad but the price is deterring me. I may use some of my left over Christmas savings to buy it.
