Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer. Most people I know say that it feels like it 'sits on their hair'. I wonder what that pink-colored ingredient actually does on your hair?

One off the top of my head is Keracare Humecto :barf:. As many of y'all that love this, there's an equal amount of us that hate it, and know what real moisture is supposed to feel like.

I left EVOO eary on in my journey.

JBCO and Coconut Oil made EVOO look like water!!!! LOL
 
I do understand what this post is about but I like listing what I didn't like better,
Evoo- its probably okay but doesn't work with my hair
Suave - conditioners
Vo5- Conditioners
I use to love Garnier but not anymore it really botheres my scalp now.
Cantu leave in - bothers me but its good stuff you just have to make sure it never touches your scalp
Mixed chicks did nothing for my hair
Curls didn't do much either
Miss Jessies was a flop for me I can't believe I got two huge jars of this mess.
Elastic DPR is okay but if I leave it on to long tenderscalp
I barely use anything now. Just leave in and some shea butter, coconut oil and avocado oil thats pretty much it. they seem to work fine for me. When I want to change up I will use some IC aloe vera gel and hawaiian silky 14-1 and I got the best curls you can get as a natural.
 
My BLACK list products that didn't work:

-AO Honeysuckle Rose
-AO Replenishing Condish-dont understand the hype on these two. Feels like putting oatmeal on my hair.

-Keracare Humecto-What's the big deal? Watery mess. All it does is smell good.

-Fantasia Olive Oil Serum-no shine, no gloss, nothing.

-Africa's Best Kids Organics Shea Butter Detangler-just sat on hair.

All i can think of now.
 
*clutches pearls* Y'all named a good few of my staples. Cantu Shea Butter Leave In? The bomb. Elasta QP H-Two Leave In? AWESOME. I guess because I use both to keep my buns moist.
 
I think the Black list should be at least separated into "Relaxed/Chemically Treated" and "Natural"--and then within the Natural, between 3s and 4s--cause all of those types need different things.

humecto(how can you work and suck unpredictably?)
leave in-creamy thick greasy mess
oil moisturizer-creamy thick greasy mess gives crunchy hair
cream hairdress, "glossifiers"- Liv and cheaper greases worked better

mizani relaxers & hydrafuse( a throwback) hated it! also CON
infusium anything (another throwback)- I cringe at the mention
pantene anything except bd mask (my natural hair loved pantene though:perplexed)
ntm products-suck on my relaxed hair
motions anything
Carol's daughter, esp. smoothie, hhb, somm- formula changes:nono:
oil sheens
Herbal Essences Hello hydration
AO HSR shampoo-makes an excellent toilet/tub cleaner

Carol's Daughter products: They left my hair hard and dry, especially the shampoo.

ORS Olive Oil= Crap in a jar. It did not leave my hair moisturized at all!
 
In case there was some confusion, just wanted to mention that ORS in the jar is the Hair Mayonaise which contains a lot of protein and this will make your hair hard if you don't follow up with moisture. The ORS in the packs and the bottle is actually the one that moisturizes.:yep:

Also there is the ORS olive oil grease in the jar and that is pure crap. The ORS hair mayo in the jar is a staple, but yes use moisturizing shampoos and condishs after.
 
this thread is funny....

Personally, I believe that most products that are hyped up turn out to be disappointments. There are a thousand products out there that work well & are never even mentioned on LHCF. My two fav lines so far - Aphogee & Garnier Fructis aren't popular, but I love 'em.
