Favorite Cholesterol Conditioner

I like Lustrasilk Mango and Shea Butter Cholesterol (the 'liquid' one in the bottle or the old tub formula) and Lustrasilk Olive Oil Cholesterol. They labeled the Olive oil one as a leave-in, but I use it as a deep conditoner and it is great!

I put the Olive oil one on and then top it off with the Mano/Shea Butter one.

You are right - :lick:

I've only used 3 in my life. Queen Helene's, Dark & Lovely (I think), & Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholestorol Plus Mango. The Lustrasilk doesn't do anything for my hair, even after I added castor oil. The Dark & Lovely (at least, I think it was D&L) was too runny. So, I keep coming back to Queen Helene.

The weird thing is the Queen Helene has sodium lauryl sulfate in it and sulfates usually jack my scalp up. But Queen Helene saved my hair years ago when I went dye happy, lifted the hair dye, and then redyed it.

Fair warning about Queen Helene: it also has lanolin and mineral oil.

When I was a little girl my grandmother used to put Lekair Cholesterol on my hair every other week. It's so funny that they still make it :)

Anyway, I also vote for the Lustrasilk Shea Butter/Mango. The old formula was a staple of mine.

Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol Moisturizing Treatment. Thick, creamy and leaves my hair very soft and strong.

I did some research a while back on Cholesterol. I wanted to know where the HECK they are getting the Cholesterol from!!!

Well, they get it from Lanolin from Sheep.

Not sure if that makes a difference, but my hair loves Cholesterol. I don't think I could use Lanolin solely as a moisturizer just like any other oil or fat, but in my conditioner, well I don't think it would hurt - if is among the good ingredients and not the base.

Used to be Queen Helene but I've discovered the joy of Le-Kair, creamier texture, soft scent and melts into my hair quickly. Great for deep cons dry or wet with a heat cap. Softer hair after rinsing, less tangling.

SE Mrga Cholesterol all the way:yep::yep::yep: No other cholesterol did anything for me. I especially love it when I'm stretching because it reduces the bulk.

I love Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol becase of how silky my hair feels after.

I love Lekair and lustrasilk mango and shea butter cholesterols. Lekair is my favorite it leaves my hair moisturised and strengthend with great slip.

I like Lekair Cholesterol's peach and aloe vera kind only.
I prefer the one in the bottle over the jar because it penetrates my strand better even though it more expensive

I :heart2: LeKair Cholesterol Plus. I've tried lots of others, Silk Elements, Lustrasilk, Hollywood Beauty, Queen Helene. But the peach LeKair is my favorite and long time deep conditioning staple. :yep:

Lustrasilk Shea Butter Plus and Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil w/ added EVOO

Currently, I like Lustresilk Olive Oil Cholesterol...it almost made my hair too soft & mushy though. I think I'm gonna try the Silk Elements brand next because I LOVE their leave-in creme.

I didn't read the other favs yet, but I have found my hands down favorite Cholesterol. It's Silk Elements Cholesterol. :reddancer: OMGoosh, try this stuff. Tangles don't stand a chance and my hair feels so soft!!

I was a cholesterol snob but since using the Silk Ele, I have purchased many other I plan to try out.

*The carrot and shea butter is next on list. I have them sitting waiting in the wing. :curtain:

Hollywood Beauty Olive... I add honey and evoo to my tub. This has been my stable for years. Super softness and shine. :yep:

I wonder which Lustrasilk Shea Butter formula my jar is, the old one or the new.

Anyone know how I can tell?

Or does anyone know the ingredients of either the old or new formula so that I can compare it to my jar.

TIA.

lustra silk scalp thereapy(blue). ive tired the other ones including the olive oil and shea butter but this works best in my hair. ive also tried queen healenes(the smell was too strong) and lekair(did nothing for me). but i think i might try the lekair plus after seeing all the good reviews.

I have not seen the Lekair Cholesterol Plus here in the Bahamas so I guess I will have to order that one online if I get a sudden urge to use it:grin:.
