Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1!

After seeing so many people swear by it I picked some up yesterday and LOVE it! My only complaint is if your wearing twists/braid outs it shoots out of the bottle onto random areas of your head opposed to spraying out evenly. I ended up having to squirt it onto my fingers to rub it evenly onto your hair because I'm wearing twist outs. My hair immediately felt so conditioned and soft, it smoothed out my new growth and left my twists moisturized without feeling greasy. My hair was just as moisturized this morning as it was last night.

I wasn't impressed with any of the HairVeda moisturizers I ordered...I am off to try Hawaii Silky 14 N 1!!! Wish me LUCK, I have had a hard time finding a good moist. for these dry tresses of mine

I wish I could try this, but I'm a little hesitant. The first ingredient is water, so I dont know how it would agree with my straight hair. :(

I bought some of this yesterday...I made the mistake of buying it from my local Korean BSS as if I didn't know better:wallbash:...I think its the old formula if there was ever one because the bottle is different and the consistency wasn't as described on the board...it wasn't very creamy. I didn't like the feeling on my hair...it just sat on top of my hair..But who knows maybe the BSS watered it down or maybe its just old...:wallbash: I'm going to pick some up from sallys when I feel like taking that trip..lol

I made the same mistake before reading through all the replies. The one from the Asian BSS is a bootleg. :nono: It doesn't even have the same ingredients and it makes your hair hard. My hair was breaking until I washed it out. I got the authentic version from Sallys and my hair has been thanking me since.

First of all, I want say thanks tiffers, for recommending this wonderful product. I use this in my youngest daughter hair as well. She has dry hair that tangles but thanks to this amazing stuff her hair is now tangle free and very soft and moisturized. I use HS14N1 the same way as tiffers. I bun my hair with it and I use it as a leave in:grin: This stuff is the bestest leave in, etc. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again, Tiffers:yep:

I made the mistake and got this from the Korean BSS, it was very watery like Tiffers said it would be. Too bad I didn't see that post before I bought it. Anyway, I went today and got it from Sally's and it was very thick when I did a hand test in the store. So I picked up that bottle. So now I have 2 bottles. Should I toss the watered-down version? Its all clumped up at the bottom and I figure that is the part that they did not dilute with water. If so, how can I savage it?

Awwww, sorry to hear that. I bought mine from the BSS store. I opened it up before I bought it though. It was rather thick, reminds me of MT:grin: I would toss the watered down one:yep:

Girl, toss it, toss it, toss it!
I guess I was lucky taking at chance and purchasing it at our local BSS...but it's Indian owned (although the store managers are usually Korean).

I've been lurking on LHCF for a couple of months now, and I finally decided to post for the first time. I'm going broke because y'all keep recommending products. I have turned into a PJ. I just ran out and purchased the HS14n1 today, and I really like the way it feels in my hair, plus I really like the creamy consistency.

I still use this after every cowash--thanks tiffers! My hair stays moisturized until my next wash EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it. I generally cowash, spray 14n1 throughout my hair, apply Cantu leave-in and seal with castor oil/shea butter/vaseline. It's the bomb!

:lachen: Welcome to posting!

My local Sally's did not have it so I bought it online from a BSS and it is bootleg!:wallbash::wallbash: I am not happy cause I bought three bottles. It is not what they advertised on their website and the ingredients are different. No extract of this or that listed! I am not happy:sad:

I have learned my lesson about BSS, and it only took me once. Now, if it aint at Sally's or Trade Secret (or other salons), I dont even go there.

(But there is one exception I guess, I'll go anywhere to hunt down that CON. Cant do too much to that!)

I :love5: Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1! After the suggestions from Tiffers, I went to Sally's and my hair hasn't been the same since!! It's a great creamy texture, and it is very light on my fine strands!!! :lick:

I used this during my wash last night for the first and I must say I like the way it made my hair look and feel. Thanks

Is this supposed to be used on wet hair? I tried it out on my dry hair and hated it. It almost immediately made my hair feel stiff and dry. :nono:

I bought this about two weeks ago and used it on dry hair and I was not impressed but then again i felt since I'm new at this healthy hair kick-moisture, protien..etc..etc I did not know what I should even expect, so I put it back up until last night I washed and decided to use it, but on wet hair this time before I dried and before any oils and the result sooo muuuuuuuch better, then using on dry hair for me.

I would like to know others experiences as well.

Make sure you have the right version from sallys. The one from the BSS made my hair instantly hard and break off.

I use it on my hair when it's dry and it works great. I don't think it would work out on my wet hair. :nono:

This didn't work for me on wet hair either. I used a dime size with my rollerset but when it dried, my hair was hard. I had to rewash and rollerset with my trusty lacio lacio. I applied HS14en1 the next day to moisturize, much better.

I wasn't even looking for it. :nono: I was in Sally's today after work to buy some hair clips. While roaming through the isles :drunk:I saw the Hawaiin Silky Miracle Worker 14-in-1. After reading all that it's supposed to do for your hair, I immediately looked at the price and saw that it was only $4.79. I thought, huh that's all and it can do all that?!? So I bought some and can't wait to try it tonight before I go to bed. :yep:Tomorrow I'm going to wash my hair (only cause it's my hair wash day) and then re-apply it while it's wet. I can't wait to see the results. This is an older thread, but I just searched for Hawaiin Silky and found it. Thanks to yall!! (I hope).

I got some of that the other day... with Fantasia IC Gel with Spark Lites... I want to practice shingling and I really need to do my hair... lmao

See Tiffers look what u started :spinning: I bought some a couple of months ago and now its one of my staples! I love that stuff :lick::lick::lick:

I'm about to buy the huge 32 oz bottle tomorrow. Just thought I'd bump for the newbies :giggle:

Okay Ms. Tiffers - You know you my Girl. And yes.........I did have this in my stash. Upon the recommendation of the Sistas from Sally's and no.......I never used it, but on the Strength of Your Recommendation -- I have pulled it out and now incorporating it into my Baggying Challenge ! Will let you know how it works. Thanks:yep:
