I have been working on a list of hair products and tools to buy after I receive my income tax. Does anyone have a income tax wishlist, if so, what items do you have on it?

Um nothing.

I think I will owe this year.

:look:

If there is a refund, it will pay down a credit card I used to buy products with in the '08.

:spinning:

I usually have to pay in like usually, but a girl can wish can she :)
1. Fhi Runway
2. Pibbs 514 or 512 I think I just know Pibbs
3.Joico Kpak ( which I am going to buy anyway)
That is all for know

 I'm probably going to owe too.

I don't think they are going to take the rebates. I thought it was tax free?

Whatever you were suppose to get for your rebate they are going to subtract that stimulus check from it.

So if you were intially going to get 5,000 and you got 1800 (a family of 4) then they will subtract the 1800 from the 5,000 and that will be your rebate.

HTH

I do not think many of us will be getting reabtes this year due to the stimulus last year. I would not get your hopes up.

Really! I coulda sworn I read it wouldn't be taxed. Booo if we are! :nono:

If we get a danngone thing, it's going into savings for a cushion in case DH or I lose our jobs. :look: Hair is going to have to stand down for a lil while.....

They say that we won't be taxed everytime we get one. I don't trust those folks not one bit. Depending on how much I get back I will get my Pibbs.

I thought it wouldn't change the refund for 2008 either, unless they changed it since then. From the IRS website:

"What is it? It's an economic stimulus payment that more than 124 million households will receive. It's not taxable, and it won't reduce your 2007 or 2008 refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return."

Hopeully, the refunds will be normal without the stimulus deduction.

As for a wishlist, I actually have one mostly for other stuff we need. I do plan to get a few hair things though:

*More Hairveda
*half & whole wigs
*stock up on condish
*coconut oil
*large rollers so I can finally teach myself to rollerset

Saving the $1 that I probally get.
I read that the stimulus check was not going to be taxed.

I also read that the government is thinking about a 2009
stimulus. Has anybody heard anything on that?

I don't know if I'll be getting anything back this year, but I've always wanted to buy a gallon of avocado butter.

I need to actually put some thought into it; I did not make too many hair related purchases this year....and it shows .

I'll use a little bit of my refund for:
-Stocking up on Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter
-Shescentit products
-Hairveda products

The stimulus checks aren't taxed-- it wouldn't be a stimulus in that case.

They want a 2009 stimulus, I don't know if taxpayers will get another check from it though; they were saying the focus will be creating jobs instead.

I wish I was getting a rebate too, I'm sure I will owe money this year too. :nono: Last year the state hit me up for exactly $1. It probably cost more for me to waste a check, an envelope, and a postage stamp sending in the $1.
