BC Fever! Who is planning to do it in '09?

I BCed in October. It appears to be a lot of that fever going around. I just want to say be free and enjoy it.

I will have reached a year into my transition in March 2009. Ultimately, I'd prefer to BC around the 15th to the 18th month. So, I'm looking at some time between June and September 09 :spinning:.

2009 might be the time for me.
I'm already all natural in the back just from trimming.
But soon it will be fruitless to hold on to those last few relaxed ends.

I was supposed to bc on Tuesday, but I've been busy around the house.

I just might do it tomorrow. But if we have a blizzard I just might do it on Saturday. Either way it and my braids have to be done before Christmas!! :lachen:

I'm 12 months post now and was hoping to transition for 2 years, so if I can hold onto these ends until next December, I will try.

With all the BCing going on lately though, I have been getting the "itch." :look:

I'm definitely doing the BC on New Year's Eve. I want to start 09 fresh and let go of all the baggage from 08. My last perm was the end of March 07, but I say April. So that means I will have transitioned for 20 months.

I can't wait. I can already see my natural hair sillouette (sp) when I wash and air dry. I'll probably wear it out for a week or two then get my hair braided without extensions. YOu know, those tiny braids. That's what I wore most of the time the last time I went natural. The only trouble is back then I was in college, and this chick only charged me 40 bucks, i can only imagine what I will have to pay now.

Anywhoo, I can't wait. I will definitely post pics!!!!

me! Im thinking of waiting for about 3 or 4 more months 'til I chop. I was thinking of doing a super long transition but eh...

Me, probably :look:. After getting a corrective relaxer yesterday, I see why I loved my natural hair the most:yep:. However, this time I am going to transition for a year with braids and invest in a good quality flat iron.

I have really been having the itch. I had planned to do it on the 31st of Dec so that I wouldn't take it into the new year; kind of like a symbolic start. My last relaxer was in March.Buuuut, now i'm not too sure. I'm thinking of rollersetting or flat ironing to see the length and then see if I can hold on until its a year in March.

I plan to BC before 12/31 to start the new year completely natural. I've been post-relaxer for 8 months and am tired of my straight strands. I'm new to the board (well posting...lurking for a long time) and have always wondered if there was a reason why some ladies decide to have long transitions. I've noticed some ladies BC a few months post relaxer and some wait as long as 2 years. I have enough new growth now that I feel comfortable with cutting, so I am assuming that the length of new growth may answer my question. Would there be any other reasons I should know about before I BC?
