I do something similar but, I don't run the flat iron all the way down the length of my hair, just the roots and about an inch or two further.

I did like it best after the pincurls, but to each his own. As far as the method goes, its not any different from what most of the ladies do here. Some flat iron the roots others blowdry the roots. The wrap was just like the sawran wrap method. I think she did a great job.

This really wouldn't be classified as a "blowout" IMO so I'm not sure why it is labeled that. Her hair look nice though.
