hey ladies im 12 weeks post and have so much college work to do and as much as i love my hair i need a bit of a rest from it, so what hairstyles do you do when you need a bit of a break? braids a weave something else??

Pictures are also welcome

TIA

Thank you, its really cold over here so i wouldnt be comfortable doing braidouts and its a lot of maintanance that i dont have much time for

and i cant see myself walking around with bantu knots in my head lol!

I started the bun for growth challenge 2 weeks ago and I'm loving my bun. Takes no time at all! I add more moisturizer because of the weather change and that's it! Done in 5 min.Style can be added with clips and chopsticks if ya get bored...

Braids would be excellent. A nice professional sew in weave would be fine as well! HTH!

i can braid myself which is good, ive never had a weave before so im not sure about them but done properly im sure it would be fun
what do you think of cornrows??

I usually do a bun like the other ladies suggested, just make sure you keep it moisturized espically if you are in a harsh cold climate.

I see tons of girls around my college sporting tams and snoods. I would love one too! Just cover your with a satin/silk covering and top with a snood. You can baggy all you want that way if you choose and it keeps your head warm as well. I can never seem to find any stores selling them that are in my budget though. -sigh- maybe next paycheck.

Then there's always rollersets or cornrow/twists combo. Myself I'm thinking of getting braids. I just have to save up the money for a pair >.<

if the end of your semester is anything like mine is I say braids:grin::yep:

Buns and flat twists. I have somewhat of a tutorial for my buns in my fotki. You're welcome to look. It's only two and they're really easy. Just practice and you'll be a pro in no time. I'm thinking about investing in a half wig. I've never worn a wig of any kind but from what I've seen here, I want to try that next. It looks so quick and easy. The big plus is they look so good!

12 weeks my haire look like :wallbash: but if you can pull it off I suggest braidout, twistout or rollerset.. I am 10 weeks post and I am going to rollerset my hair and see how it come out.. I usually wear a bun anyway but when I get to that point my hair stay in a bun...
