If you had to narrow down to one recommendation which would it be? If not listed, please share.

Elasta QP Crème Conditioning poo. Makes my hair soft and slippy with no cones or SLS :yep:

Ive yet to find a really great shampoo as far as moisture but I just use a garlic shampoo for my shedding. CON is really good though

i've been using Motions Silk something or other, and it has been really good---but thanks to Tiffers, i'm gonna try that Elasta Qp :yep:

I also use the elasta creme conditioning poo. The CON I use when I am washing out a twistout or when my hair is REALLY dry.

Does the Joico have sulfates or cones?

I have the same dilemma. I have yet to find a shampoo that doesn't leave my hair dry after the 1st wash.

I've read alot about moisturizing shampoos, but really how can you tell if right after you shampoo you condition?? My hair feels the same way no matter what shampoo I use. Isn't the key to have your conditioner be moisture rich. Just a thought....

The BEST shampoo I have EVER tried is CHI INTENSE NOURISH SILK BATH ...... it detanges like a dream and it leaves my hair so soft that it feels like I don't even need conditioner !!! :yep: But I still condition afterwards anyway

The Elasta QP is really good, but I had to figure out the right way to use it :yep:

For instance, when I pre poo with oil and then shampoo with it, my hair comes out feeling really weird.

I get the best results when I let the lather sit on my hair for a few minutes while I finish my shower. If I don't let this poo marinate, the results won't be as good. Kinda like a conditioner! :D

My hair comes out super soft and really easy to detangle, the perfect primer to applying conditioner :yep:

Maybe I'll do the prepoo while I finish my CON Bottle and then I'll try the Elasta w/o prepoo when I'm done with that bottle. I'll keep you posted on that one T.

Brooklyn72: You can tell if a poo is moisturizing by how your hair feels. Even though you condition right after shampooing, you still have to part and manipulate your hair to apply the conditioner. If your hair is dried out and tangled after pooing, applying the conditioner will be hell. Your hair will be hard to part, and you'll probably have more breakage because of it.

If the poo is moisturizing, it'll leave your hair softer and easier to manage, priming it for the fun part (conditioning :D ) And although your primary moisture comes from conditioners, it still doesn't hurt to get a lil bit from your shampoo

so...... does this shampoo have coco betaine and where can you get it?

My favorite shampoos:

Elasta QP Shampoo for Relaxed Hair
Elasta QP Bodifying Shampoo
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Cream Lather

Elasta QP Shampoo for Relaxed Hair is my favorite shampoo ever followed by Elasta QP Bodifying Shampoo. They both leave my hair CLEAN, but moist and without tangles. They are sodium myreth sulfate based and have a nice, low pH.

The only bad thing about them is that they can be HARD TO FIND. I ran out, went to two stores looking for them and wound up buying Neutrogena Triple Moisture instead... which would be my third choice. It's a great shampoo, but not as good as the other two imo. It leaves the hair feeling nice enough though, better than most.

I tried con. It leaves a nasty film on my hair. I like my hair to feel clean. The same for elasta qp creme conditioning shampoo.

On my to try list are con red label (I heard that it doesn't leave a film) and kenra shampoos (seem to be similar to elasta QP shampoos) I have 2 1/2 bottles of NTM to go through though. At the rate I go through shampoo - wash once a week and I use like a teaspoon of shampoo  - it's gonna be a while until I try anything new.

I don't hear alot from the KeraCare Hydrating Shampoo users...I used to read a lot of great reviews about that and Kenra...

CON - believe the hype. Last week I was so hooked on my hair after shampooing I was actually tempted to skip my DC. It is really that good.

Can someone post a pic of the good CON shampoo that everyone keeps raving about. I think I might be using the wrong one which is leaving my hair a bit dry after 1 wash. I'm using the detangling CON. I think the bottle is white and blue.:ohwell:

Verifen Complex Beneficial Phase Shampoo :dance7: -- Must I say more? I don't think so.

I buy the 32 ounce bottle of Cream of Nature (moisturizing/detangling shampoo) at Sally's for $5.00 per bottle. They always have it on sale (every other month), but the 32 ounce bottle doesn't look like the one just above.

The blue one you're using is the bodifying poo. You want the green and white ultra moisturizing detangling formula. A pic is posted ^^^^ up there.
